Super
cool Ray-Ban Clubmaster W0365 vintage sunglasses ooze cool, and
for some reason we just couldn't stop thinking about Jack Nicholson
while photographing these vintage Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban sunglasses.
We are particularly fond of this style, with G-15 polarized Ray-Ban
lens which are marked with Ray-Ban on the right lens and the small
BL etched in the glass lenses near the hinge points. The nose bridge
and the bottom edge of the sunglasses are all plated in gold, while
black ebony top accents and ear stems are the perfect complement
to the impact resistant, constant density G-15 gray - green optical
glass B&L lenses which provide superior brightness control,
true color rendering, and 100% UV protection. The lenses which measure
aproximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points. The sunglasses
are also marked B+L Ray-Ban U.S.A impressed in the gold metal behind
the center nose bridge, and one ear stem is marked Bausch &
Lomb Ray-Ban USA while the other stem is marked W0365. These vintage
Clubmaster B&L Ray-Ban sunglasses measure approximately 5.5"
temple to temple, and they look great with a variety of formal and
informal clothing styles. |

Always
classic and never out of style, these vintage Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 aviator
sunglasses feature a 24k gold plated B&L Ray-Ban frame and G-15
anti glare Bausch & Lomb lenses that work great in all light
conditions. If you want the most classic style of vintage aviator
sunglasses, the 58 14 gold aviator sunglasses are probably the design
you probably want. Known for their oblique teardrop lens shape,
the 58 14 aviator sunglasses consist of an extremely light frame
weighing only about 150 grams. They are made of 24k gold-plated
metal with the gray - green G-15 lenses made of mineral glass to
filter out infrared and ultraviolet rays. Pilots in the U.S. Army
Air Corps adopted these sunglasses immediatly after their introduction
in the early 1940s, and this is a nice vintage pair c 1980s when
B&L Ray-Ban quality and adherence to the original materials
and specifications was still strong. The 58 14 teardrop lens are
nicely shaped and sized to provide full coverage to the eye but
yet sit comfortable on a variety of face styles and shapes. The
lens measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest
points of the teardrop, and they measure 5.25" across temple
to temple. These vintage B&L Ray-Ban sunglasses are well marked
as usual. The frames are marked B+L Ray-Ban USA impressed in the
metal on top of the nose bridge, and the bottom of the nose bridge
is marked B+L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 also impressed in the metal. The
right lens is marked with the Ray-Ban logo in in the glass, and
both have the BL logo etched in the lens at the hinge points. |

Rare
Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban pearlized Marcellina women's cat's eye
sunglasses c 1950s - 1960s combine the lovely and shimmering pearl
color with vintage green glass lenses for a great, cat-like effect
that is guaranteed to make you purr! The elongated frame shape really
accents the cat eye lenses, not completely mirroring the shape of
the lens and thus adding some additional design interest. The pearl
frames look like they could glow in the dark, and metal studs at
the 2 front corners add a final design flourish. One of the ear
stems is marked B+L Ray-Ban USA impressed in the frame, and the
other ear stem is marked Marcellina impressed in the frame. The
lens are really long and chic, measuring approximately 2.0"
x 1.125" at the widest points. These vintage Ray-Ban Marcellina

Very
rare vintage Ray-Ban 10k gold plated outdoorsman shooter sunglasses
feature the B&L Kalichrome C yellow hunting and shooting lens,
sunglasses which can sell for over $1200 in the Asia Pacific region
and always top dollar in American and European markets. The precision
ground and highly polished glass B&L Kalichrome C lens is a yellow
high contrast lens free of waves or any other defects that could
distort vision or cause eye strain. The B&L Kalichrome lenses
are famous worldwide for their ability to intensify and enhance
the visual spectrum, and sporting enthusiasts and pilots everywhere
swear by these glasses when in difficult visibility situations.
If you've never worn a pair of Ray-Ban Kalichrome yellow lens sunglasses
then you just won't realize how much objects seem to leap out at
you in any light situation, providing a degree of visual acuity
that is really unsurpassed by any other optical quality sunglasses
lens. The B&L Kalichrome lens actually intensifies light and
increases contrast, not to mention they look cool. The shooter style
is similar to the aviator but sits a bit higher up on the face,
and the area between the lens is smaller and separated by a circular
ring that aficionados call the bullet hole. These vintage Ray-Ban
outdoorsman Kalichrome shooter sunglasses have the cable temples
to provide a secure fit along with their cool utilitarian look.
The teardrop yellow Kalichrome lens measures approximately 2.375"
x 2.0" at the widest point, and the frame measuring approximately
5.25" temple to temple is marked Ray-Ban B&L 1/20 10k GF
impressed in the gold plated metal on top of the nose bridge. B&L
refers to this style and lens as "Gradient Density Sunglasses"
and notes in their period product literature that "these lenses
have been filled with a metallic coating to obtain a vertical density
gradation. This coating is hard and durable and, with reasonable
care, lenses will remain in good condition." Since we have
access to period B&L Ray-Ban product information and research,
we also thought it relevant to pass on B&L's recommendation
that you "make sure that this sun glass is properly aligned
horizontally before your eyes, so that equal densities are encountered
by both eyes." Everyone at the Vintage Sunglasses Shop gets
excited when we find Ray-Ban Kalichrome yellow shooters in good
condition, and we guarantee you will be astounded by the visual
acuity provided by these glasses or return them for a full refund.

Rare
Ray-Ban glacier glasses, Arctic Cat CATS sunglasses by Bausch &
Lomb are fully mirrored and include the leather nose bridge cover
and the two side blinders that swing on a hinge in and out to protect
the eyes from wind, rain, and sun from the sides yet fold inward
for easy storage. Ray-Ban CATS are very popular in the vintage market
regardless, but you will seldom see vintage Arctic Cat glacier glasses.
They come in the original Ray-Ban CATS case and have the connected
strap to go around your neck. These sunglasses have serious mountain
climbing and skiing optics and design, and the leather blinders
do a great job of keeping the wind out - and look much cooler than
goggles! The ear pads are the curved, flexible shooter outdoorsman
style that helps the glasses stay on in fast moving, active conditions.
The leather nose bridge cover snaps around the frame and keeps the
frame from sticking to the skin in extreme cold conditions. However,
the leather blinders can be removed as can the snap on nose bridge
cover, so when these are off you have a regular pair of B&L
CATS to wear in warm weather conditions. The B&L G-31 full mirrored
lens is superb, reflecting everything and protecting the eyes with
complete UV protection even in the most extreme conditions. The
teardrop shaped lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.875"
at the widest point, and the frame measures 5.5" temple to
temple. Both lens have the small inscribed BL logo near the hinges
while the right lens has Ray-Ban mark inscribed in the glass. The
outside of one ear stem is marked Ray-Ban while the other is marked
Cats. The inside of one stem bar is marked Bausch & Lomb and
Frame France while the inside of the other stem is marked Frame
France. Vintage Ray-Ban CATS glacier glasses will bring out the
arctic cat in you, sunglasses that look great in rain or shine,
wind or hail, snow or bright sunlight. |

Exceptionally
rare and in mint condition are these authentic Bausch & Lomb
B&L Ful Vue safety glasses c 1949 in the original box! Combining
extra strong B&L green safety glass lens with a very sturdy
metal frame, we can pretty much assure you that no goggles or safety
glasses are made to this kind of quality today. Perfect for use
as motorcycle goggles (and a lot cooler than the steampunk look),
aviator sunglasses, ski sunglasses, or their intended use as safety
glasses, anyone who wears these is sure to attract inevitable questions
and comments. We love the side blinders that keep wind and sunlight
out while protecting the eye from the side, and they swing on a
hinge for closing the glasses and conforming to the face. It is
quite unique how these glasses fold, for the front hinge rotates
a full 180 degrees so they are hinged back for wearing and hinged
forward for closing the glasses. If it were otherwise, they would
not close with the side blinders in the way. Very unique. Each ear
stem is a strong, coated wire curved in the back with the shooter
design to fit securely around the ear, and each 1.875" diameter
green B&L lens is marked at the top with the etched B&L
logo in the glass lens. They measure approximately 5.25" temple
to temple, and everything about them is in mint new condition. There
were found as part of an estate in the warehouse of an Ohio contractor,
covered in dust in the back of an old cabinet and clearly forgotten
for 60 years. Aside from the B+L logo etched into the green safety
glass lens, the glasses are also marked on the nose bridge B&L
Ful-Vue 23 impressed in the metal. The original B&L Ful-Vue
cardboard box reads "Protect the only pair of eyes you'll ever
have" along with Bausch & Lomb Safety Glasses on the front,
and Made in USA on the back. On the side of the box is the catalogue
number, screen type, size, and lens, and the date of 6/49 is stamped
on the side. Rare and one of a kind; includes glasses and original
box. /285 |

White
Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses with green B&L lens are extremely
rare, probably more desirable today in the age of light color, larger
men's and women's sunglasses than they were when first produced
c 1960s. You can still find a fair number of black and tortoise
vintage Wayfarer sunglasses, but it's difficult to find the white,
low production Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses were
first manufactured by Ray-Ban in 1952, when their design was a revolutionary
break from the metal eyewear of the past. Wayfarers enjoyed early
popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, especially after they were worn
by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. Though
the sunglasses had faded from the limelight by the 1970s, a lucrative
1982 product placement deal in the Blues Brothers movie with John
Belushi brought Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses to their height of popularity.
Wayfarers are usually cited as the best selling sunglass design
in history and have been called a "classic of modern design"
as "one of the most enduring fashion icons of the 20th century."
Marilyn Monroe made Wayfarers a cult object, and Audrey Hepburn's
wearing of tortoise shell Wayfarers sunglasses in the 1961 movie
Breakfast at Tiffany's transformed the Wayfarer into a legend. During
the 1950s and 1960s, celebrities including John Lennon, Bob Dylan,
James Dean, John F. Kennedy, Roy Orbison, and Andy Warhol were all
known for wearing Wayfarers. Each B&L Ray-Ban lens measures
approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points, and each
is marked with the small B+L logo etched in the glass lens. One
ear stem is marked Wayfarer, while the other stem is marked B&L
Ray-Ban U.S.A. /235 |

The
classic! Vintage Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 aviator sunglasses with fine gold
plated metal frame, teardrop aviator lens design, and B&L B-15
high contrast and UV protected brown lens are a must have in your
sunglasses collection and a great gift for any pilot or outdoorsman
in your life. This B&L lens was designed to screen out blue
light to improve contrast, sharpen details, and absorb 85% of visible
light with 100% UV protection. Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses became
instantly famous when General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach
in the Philippines in World War II, and photographers snapped pictures
of him wearing B&L Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses. The classic Ray-Ban
aviators are some of the best marked sunglasses on the market despite
the limited space for such marks on the frame. These vintage Ray-Bans
are marked on the top of the upper nose bar B&L Ray-Ban USA
impressed in the gold plated metal frame and marked B&L Ray-Ban
58 [] 14 impressed in the metal beneath the bottom nose bar. The
right teardrop amber B&L lens is marked Ray-Ban, and both lens
have the small B+L logo impressed in the glass lens near the hinge
points. The lens measure 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest
point, but they narrow significantly as they approach the nose.

So
you want your vintage B&L Ray-Bans but you want a very special version
too. Well, perhaps these will fit the bill as we offer these vintage
B&L Ray-Ban 58 14 outdoorsman gold aviator shooter sunglasses
featuring the curved wire shooter ear stems and world famous B&L
Ray-Ban Ambermatic lens. It's the classic B&L Ray-Ban aviator equipped
with one of the very best sunglass lens ever made in the Bausch
& Lomb Ambermatic lens. If you've ever worn a pair of Ambermatics,
you'll know why they're like candy for the eyes. Ambermatic lenses
self-adjust to just about any lighting situation you may encounter,
getting darker in colder temperatures to make them ideal lenses
for the ski slopes or high mountain trails. And since these Ambermatics
have comfortable paddle temples, it also makes these vintage Ray-Ban
sunglasses perfect for long summer drives. B & L Ambermatic
lenses provide 100% UV protection regardless of the lighting situation.
The 58mm lenses on these shooter style aviator sunglasses measure
approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points and
have the B&L logo etched in the glass lens. Because they do not
have the Ray-Ban script logo on the lens, it means they were most
likely made in the early 1980's before the Ray-Ban script logo had
been introduced to the lens surface. That makes these vintage Ray-Ban
sunglasses some of the first Ambermatics made, and new Ambermatics
haven't been made since the late 1990's when Ray-Ban was sold to
the European consortium Luxottica. Other sunglasses makers have
tried to imitate the Ambermatic lens but have ultimately fallen
well short of the goal. These vintage Ray-Ban outdoorsman Ambermatic
sunglasses measure approximately 5.25" temple to temple and
are fully and properly marked with B&L Ray-Ban USA impressed
in the metal on top of the nose bridge under the celluloid covered
back bracing bar and marked B&L 58 [] 14 Ray-Ban USA impressed
in the metal beneath the nose bridge. |

The
original classic! Early B&L Ray-Ban 10k gold filled aviator
shooter sunglasses c 1950s - 1960s is the real retro style everyone
is looking for today in the original Bausch & Lomb interpretation
of aviator sunglasses that date back to the mid 1930s. These are
a nice size for men and women, measuring approximately 5.25"
temple to temple and with lens measuring 2.25" x 2.125"
at the widest points. The 10k gold filled frame means that these
sunglasses will last for years and years, and the 10k production
dates to circa 1950s and 1960s. Another way to date these sunglasses
is the absence of the etched Ray-Ban logo on the green lenses, something
that B&L only began doing consistently circa early 1960s. These
vintage Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses also have the wire shooter ear
stems that give you a particularly flexible and secure fit that
comes in handy for active outdoor pursuits. Bausch & Lomb developed
Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses specifically for pilots in the late 1930s;
pilots needed a good pair of anti glare sunglasses, and the B&L
Ray-Ban design satisfied this requirement perfectly. The design
was modeled directly from goggles being worn by the US military
at the time, still standard issue for military pilots worldwide.
When we have them for sale, it's a rare opportunity to own a pair
of early gold filled aviator sunglasses with green pilot lens. These
vintage Ray-Ban 10k GF sunglasses are marked on the top of the nose
bridge B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A and under the nose bridge B&L 10k
GF USA. /245 |

Ray-Ban
made many great styles of sunglasses while part of Bausch & Lomb
and before being sold to Luxottica in 1999, but we don't like any
style better than classic and vintage B&L Ray-Ban Leathers sunglasses.
Always popular and unique, it's a sunglasses design that you just
don't see from any other manufacturer than Ray-Ban. The teardrop
shaped lens and aviator frame are wrapped in leather, in this case
a dark brown leather with black (on the front) and tan (on the ear
pads) stitching that covers the front of the glasses as well as
the ear pads. The gold plated frame is of typically high Ray-Ban
quality, and the Leather aviators use the classic aviator design
of a double gold nose bridge, the top of one covered in leather,
in between the B&L Ray-Ban G-15 lens. The contrast of the gold
plated metal with the leather is quite striking, and trust us (we
all tried them on) they look great on the face and, in the case
of our staff, was universally agreed to make us look much better
than we really do. The G-15 lens both have the inscribed BL logo
etched in the glass near the hinge points and measure approximately
2.25" x 2.0" at the widest points, and the right lens also has the
inscribed Ray-Ban logo. The bottom of the top nose bridge that's

vintage fashion accessories. Ray-Ban made many great styles of sunglasses

in black also, but we think there's a lot to be said for this light
brown leather being right at the top. The gold plated frame is of
typical Ray-Ban quality in aviator sunglasses, and these incorporate
the very desirable "bullet hole" design of a center ring in between
the Ray-Ban aviator lens. The contrast of the gold metal with the

early Ray-Ban 1/10 12k Gold Filled Shooter sunglasses, c 1960s,
are extraordinarily rare and feature the bullet hole design and

Vintage
Ray-Ban Signet sunglasses feature an eye catching gold frame that
features etched horizontal bands at the two front corners, on the
nose bridge, and around to the ear stems. This horizontal banding,
particularly on the left and right front flared corners of the sunglasses,
adds texture and style to the gold which otherwise might be somewhat
overwhelming if just flat. The combined effect of the etched gold
frame with the B&L Ray-Ban G 15 anti-glare UV lens is really
striking. Trust us - one of our staff decided to wear these sunglasses
to buy sandwiches for the office and was stopped by 3 strangers
during a 20 minute round trip to inquire about them. The left glass
lens is marked Ray-Ban in the upper left corner of the glass, B+L
Ray-Ban is etched into the metal of one ear stem, and Signet is
impressed in the metal on the other ear stem. They are also marked
behind the gold nose bridge impressed in the metal, with the top
bar marked B&L Ray-Ban and the bottom nose bar marked B&L

Rare
and unique Ray-Ban Changeables shooter sunglasses have the 2 most
desirable characteristics of vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses plus the
special Bausch & Lomb "Super Changeables" lens- curved
wire outdoorsman / shooter ear stems and bullet hole aviator design.
That being said, the stars of this particular show are definitely
the B&L Ray-Ban photochromatic Super Changeables lens that react
to the sun's brightness to protect your eyes. They darken to compensate
for varying light conditions, and these Super Changeables darken
even more for stronger light to aid more sensitive eyes. This action
is a lifetime feature of the lens and will not disappear or weaken
with time, darkening to 75% of their full capacity within the first
minute of exposure to sunlight. Out of sunlight, they lighten half
way in 10 minutes and about 75% within 90 minutes, and of course
they always offer full UV protection for your eyes. It's really
an amazing bit of optical technology by B&L, and it's easy to
see why Ray-Ban Super Changeables sunglasses are so rare and expensive.
The frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple making
them perfect as men's or women's sunglasses, and the lens measure
approximately 2.25" x 2.0" at the widest points. Aside
from the distinctive bullet hole and shooter design, the gold plated
frame is marked on top of the nose bridge B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A. |

We
can never pass up an opportunity to acquire Ray-Ban gold plated
sunglasses with tortoise shell ear stems, and they never last more
than a few weeks on the site at most. Thus, we are once again pleased
to offer these Ray-Ban W2108 sunglasses. Clearly and always a luxury
item, vintage W2108 sunglasses feature an etched Ray-Ban gold electroplated
frame wherein a layer of almost pure 24k gold is permanently bonded
to the base alloy metal specially chosen by Ray-Ban for strength
and malleability. One ear pad has CE impressed in the tortoise celluloid
while the other has style number W2108 XTAS also impressed in the
pad, and both nose pads are also original and marked BL. The inside
of one ear stem is marked Ray-Ban USA by Bausch & Lomb, and
the gold plated frame is marked behind the nose bridge B&L Ray-Ban
USA impressed in the metal. The nose pads are original and marked
BL. Both lens have the etched BL logo near the hinge points, and
the right lens also has the scripted Ray-Ban logo. The oval B&L
lens measure approximately 1.875" x 1.375" at the widest
points, and the frame measures approximately 5.0" temple to
temple making them great as men's or women's sunglasses. It's hard
to beat the look of tortoise and gold together, and we think Ray-Ban
W2108 sunglasses are at the pinnacle of such a design. Includes
original fitted Ray-Ban Sunglasses by Bausch & Lomb faux leather
case sold originally as an exclusive Elite Collection offering at
international duty free shops. /225 |

Vintage
Ray-Ban Olympian sunglasses have classic cool and elegant style
that looks great with formal or informal wear. It's a streamlined
design that subtly wraps around the face to make them great for
outside activities. The gold bar accenting the top edge contrasts
perfectly with the Ray-Ban G-15 lens, and it continues on around
the hinges to form the 2 ear stems which continue halfway down the
length of the bar at which point the uniquely shaped ear pads begin.
The right lens is marked Ray-Ban in the glass along with the small
B+L Bausch & Lomb logo impressed in both lens near each hinge
point. The inside of the one of the black ear pads is also marked
Ray-Ban USA along with model number although it is hard to make
out with the natural age wear. There is some minor finish wear to
the gold plating behind the nose bridge, probably from sweat, but
this cannot be seen from the front and there is no analogous wear
anywhere else on the frame. Each of the 2 Bausch & Lomb G-15
lens measure approximately 2.25" x 1.675" at the widest
points, while the frame measures 5.5" temple to temple. Original
B & L G-15 lens were developed as a result of a navy Air Corps
requirement for sunglass lens that would not alter colors, so it's
an incredible lens. As a final fun fact, pop singer and songwriter
for Britney Spears Fergie as well as the Pussycat Dolls Lady GaGa
were recently seen sporting vintage Ray-Ban Olympian sunglasses. |
