I'm amazed by these Vuarnets. First off, I've considered all the sunglass brands I have gone through. Maui Jims (2 pair)JUNK, Casa Del Mar (3 pairs) JUNK, Ray Bans (1 pair-LOST), Spy (1 pair) I thought were the best of the JUNK, Revo (2 Light Stealth pairs) I wish I still had that was purchased 13 years ago, now Vintage, and finally some other brand that eludes my memory. I'm only 45 years old and thought I knew everything about sunglass technology, wrong! The ironic thing is that I always wanted a pair of Vuarnets. I browsed the internet and found a shady outfit called shadesaver.com that had them. I wasn't thrilled with their site information or presentation.....just as well.

Now, I have the real thing to compare to what I thought was the "Top of the Line". Top of the line JUNK! After opening the package like a little kid on Christmas Day, I just coudn't believe I had in my hands these almost thirty year old Vuarnat sunglasses in pristine condition. The gradient mirrored lens stood out first followed by the blue anti-reflectve coatings on the concave side of the lens. These were going to be a trip, I thought! They had a real feel of substance to them, unlike the JUNK I was accustomed to. I went to the grocery store with them on for my test. Out in the hazy sunshine I was overcome by the extreme power of the lenses. Vivid yellowish, super contrasting, blue light blocking WOWness if that's a word?

I saw somewhere not to wear these while driving, but I thought they were fine. After arriving at the store and getting almost immediate second long looks I walked through the door. Leaving them on in the store was the second test. The lens somehow tamed themselves down and everything was true color perceived. I thought to myself that Mr. Vuarnet had something here in these Skilynx. Well, I was on the way home and my eyes really adjusted to the glasses in a soothing way. These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned! Truly marvelous! Not that I make it a practice, but I thought I would give them the ultimate test. Look at the sun. I did with no glare whatsoever. A perfect disc, I was amazed. The technology in these lenses is awesome! Anyhow, I'm trying my Revo's tomorrow, and I'll let you know on those tomorrow as well. Wow!
