1 Vintage Ray-Ban W1742 G-20 Chromax Sport Series 4 sunglasses were one of the finest sport sunglasses ever produced, pairing amazing Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses with a high performance, matte black sports frame. We really like the green on black cool contrast on Ray-Ban W1742 sunglasses, and you can't beat the B&L G-20 Chromax lenses to enhance visual acuity in all light conditions. A rubberized shooter style cable stem can be released from a depression in the outer composite stem that's part of the frame; when you do this, it releases the shooter stem which will give you a more secure fit over the ears than with the frame stem alone. The Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban G-20 Chromax Color Contrast Technology lenses are formulated for high performance sports uses, enhancing the visual acuity and color contrast. They are formulated with Neodymium, a rare earth element, to enhance red, green, and amber colors which is important for fast reaction sports such as tennis or racing. Treated with an advanced anti-reflection coating, they also cut distracting reflections from the rear surface of the lenses. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the outside of both ear stems near the hinges and vertical etching, and the inside of one stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban while the other stem is marked Sport Series 4 Disc. and one ear pad is impressed W1742 NPAS. The right lens is laser etched Ray-Ban along with the lightning bolt mark indicating a Chromax lens, and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The frame is a good unisex size measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and each lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points.
