1 Vintage Ray-Ban Explorer II 50th Anniversary General sunglasses are a slightly larger version of the original and iconic Ray-Ban Explorer that features the same unique lens shape in an Arista gold plated frame with "The General" brow bar designed to improve the balance of the sunglasses on your face. Ray-Ban Explorer II sunglasses have been seen on the faces of many celebrities over the years including Brad Pitt, and aside from the high style you get the high performance optics as well in Bausch & Lomb Changeables mineral glass lenses. In addition, these Explorer II sunglasses are the rare "The General" 50th anniversary model with Deep Groove ear stems much stronger and thicker than those of regular Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses. The unisex Ray-Ban Explorer II General frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the Changeables photochromatic lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 62 [] 14, one ear stem is impressed The General while the otehr stem is impressed 1937 - 1987. Very hard to find.
