1 Vintage Ray-Ban Stateside sunglasses are one of the most recognizable styles ever produced by Bausch & Lomb during their 60 years of stewardship of the Ray-Ban brand, and this sleek and elegant black ebony and clear Stateside frame with Bausch & Lomb G-31 mirrored lenses was a low production vairation of the iconic Stateside. The highly reflective G-31 mirrored lens was offered for sale on only a very small number of styles, an expensive lens to manufacture whose origin dates to the days of the Ray-Ban Deep Freeze in the 1950s when Bausch & Lomb supplied eyewear for the first research expedition in Antarctica at what was known as Little America. The unisex Ray-Ban Stateside frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the Bausch & Lomb G-15 lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points. The inside of one ear stem is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is impressed Stateside.
