1 Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5630 70 shield sunglasses are a marvel of design engineering and one of the most distinctive and intricately crafted sunglass frames you'll ever see regardless of marker. The curves and angles of the frame and lenses made this style extremely complex to manufacture and were produced in only very small quantities likely because the cost of production exceeded the price at which they could be sold at the time. The intricate engineering allows the ear stems to fold flat to the front frame and thus the "shield" design. The unisex Carrera Porsche Design 5630 frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the eye catching violet gradient lenses measure approximately 2.875" x 2.0" at the widest points with left lens laser etched Porsche Design along with the PD logo. The inside of one stem is marked Made in Austria 5630 70 along with the impressed serial number while the inside of the other stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera. Very rare.
