Vintage Oakley Romeo 1.0 sunglasses feature a low first generation X Metal frame and serial number, Oakley Fire Iridium lenses and trademark Jordan - Ducati red ear and pads and couplers which all come together in what we think you'll agree is one of the best overall combinations of frame and lenses of any vintage Romeo ever produced. Oakley Romeo sunglasses created quite a sensation at their introduction c 1997, and stores around the world featured advertising displays to market Michael Jordan wearing Oakley Romeo and Mars sunglasses. Here you get the early Romeo 1.0 X Metal frame along with a stunning combination of Fire Iridium lenses and a red rubber set for ear and nose pads and couplers recognizable from Jordan and Ducati models. Oakley X Metal was a revolutionary application of a new metallurgical process and a breakthrough in structural physics. A lightweight blend of superheated metals, the adjustable X Metal frame is engineered with flex couplers and interchangeable nose pads for a secure, high performance fit. Oakley X Metal sunglasses were marketed as "the only 3D sculpted, hypoallergenic, all metal frame on earth" - but mostly they just look cool! The wrap design gives you added eye protection on the sides and closely contours to your face, and the highly reflective Fire Iridium lenses add to the sleek, streamlined look. The unisex Oakley Romeo frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the Fire Iridium lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.375" at the widest points with the lower portion of the left lens laser etched X Metal. You'll find the Oakley O incorporated into the X Metal of both ear stems, and the rear of the frame is impressed CE, USA, the Oakley Romeo X Metal symbol, and the early Oakley Romeo 1.0 serial number.
