Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5621 71 sunglasses feature the incredibly rare titanium silver and black leather frame that we've only had here on just a few occasions since our fouding in 1998. And here you get a beautiful color combination for the look of the frame in sets of gray and brown gradient lenses. The black leather makes for a great contrast with the silver plating, a distinctive and eye catching look you're not likely to see on anyone else around you - ever! The interchangeable lenses are swapped out by lifting the center hinge and removing and inserting the lenses into small prongs on the frame, and the second set of lenses are stored in a felt pouch inside the included Carrera hard case. These original Porsche Design lenses were made of a revolutionary plastic called optyl, which gave them unparalleled optical excellence in a lightweight lens, an innovation which permitted these larger styles which wuold be too heavy for most people in glass lenses. The unisex Carrera Porsche Design 5621 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.75" x 2.25" at the widest points with right lenses laser etched Porsche Design along with the PD logo. The inside of one ear stem is marked Made in Austroa 5621 71 along with the unique impressed serial number while the inside of the other stem is marked Carrera Porsche Design.
