1 Vintage Ray-Ban L1707 sunglasses feature the rare Tortuga aviator frame and 62mm Bausch & Lomb Changeables photochromatic lenses that combine for one of the best color combos of any vintage sunglasses style. B&L Changeables lenses were innovative in their day and remain so today, changing color in varying light conditions via optical properties infused into the glass - not a coating that will wear out or wear off. The Tortuga tortoise shell frame has great colors of red and gold interspersed throughout, far harder to find than the more common Arista gold or Black Chrome aviators of this period.. The unisex Ray-Ban L1707 Tortuga aviator frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple with 62mm Bausch & Lomb Changeable brown lenses measuring approximately 2.25" x 2.0" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA and the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 62 [] 14, part of the collection of a well known sports figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
