1 Vintage Persol 3072 960 Film Noir Edition sunglasses feature a.beautiful honey tortoise frame with distinctive Persol Ratti design flourishes coupled with rare Persol Neophan blue lenses, the penultimate Persol lens color made famous by the actor Steve McQueen and in later years by Brad Pitt and others. The Persol 3072 was known as “The Gangster” and part of Persol’s limited edition “Film Noir Collection”. As tribute, we see the resurrection of the famed Phoenix arrow, a variation of Persol’s defining arrow first introduced by founder, Giuseppe Ratti in the 1930’s. Over the years, this arrow has taken many shapes with one of the rarest being the Phoenix of the film noir era. The unisex Persol 3072 frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.75" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Persol. You'll find the Phoenix arrow in rasied metal relief on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Film Noir Edition 3072 S 960/56 57 [] 20 145 2N while the inside of the other stem is marked Persol Hand Made in Italy CE
