1 Vintage Ray-Ban Changeables Deep Groove 58mm aviator sunglasses feature the ultra strong Type II Deep Groove frame that's significantly stronger and more rigid than traditional B&L Ray-Ban frames and ear stems. Produced in only very small quantities, the rare Deep Groove frame is paired with Bausch & Lomb Changeables photochromatic lenses which will quite significantly darken out in the sunlight and were known as the world's first "smart lens technology." These are the top of the line Super Changeables lenses which darken even faster and more dramatically (you'll probably notice just from the time it took to shoot the photos), and the photochromatic properties of vintage B&L Changeables lenses were infused into the glass, not a coating that will wear off or wear out. The unisex Ray-Ban 58mm Deep Groove frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the 58mm Changeables lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo impressed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14.
