1 Vintage Persol 802 sunglasses feature a beautiful gloss black Italian frame, brown gradient lenses with light flash mirror coating and the distinctive center pane nose bridge that's the stylistic marker for Persol 802 sunglasses. Persol 802 sunglasses are one of the icons of modern sunglasses design, and they won't be confused with the offerings of any other sunglass manufacturer. These Persol Ratti 802 sunglasses were produced in Persol's Ratti manufactury reserved for their highest quality production and feature the Meflecto system unique to vintage Persol sunglasses. The Persol Meflecto system system consists of tiny cylinders inserted by a craftsman process into the ear stems to render them flexible, thereby assuring maximum comfort and snugness of fit. Persol marketing literature from the period notes that the Meflecto system offers "excellent functionality and perfect fitting to the wearer's face" along with a "smart design and exceptional solidity of construction". The unisex Persol 802 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the brown gradient lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 2.0" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the round Persol mark at the upper outside corners. The inside of one stem is marked Persol 802 while the inside of the other stem is marked 137 95 Ratti Made in Italy, part of the collection of a well known European media figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
