Cazal Mod 990 Col 651 Sunglasses
Vintage Cazal Mod 990 Col 651 sunglasses are a design explosion of black and gold with unique design characteristics all around. Start with the use of black and gold to create a faux leopard print pattern on the front frame, and then note the rimless outer edge of the lenses giving way to the distinctive Cazal double bar ear stems that continue the pattern of black flecked gold plating. The unisex Cazal 990 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.25" at the widest points with left lens laser etched Cazal. You'll find the Cazal logo on a gold metal tab on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked CE Germany Cazal while the inside of the other stem is marked Mod 990 Col 651 56 [] 16 140. These are new old stock Cazal 990 651 sunglasses in mint, unworn condition, a rare find from a Berlin Germany optical shop that ceased operation in the late 1990s.
