1 Vintage Oakley Penny sunglasses are a sleek, low profile cousin of the vintage Oakley Juliet, and the vintage Penny has made its way into numerous action movies of the last 30 years including the X-Men, Terminator, and Transformers movies. The Oakley Penny Plasma frame is made of Oakley X Metal, the only 3-D sculpted, hypoallergenic,
all-metal frame on earth with its strength-to-weight ratio maximizing
comfort and durability. Changeable nosebobs, flex couplers, and temple
shocks create fully adaptable sunglasses that allow you to tailor
the frame for a perfect fit. The Oakley blue mirror Ice Iridium lenses here use
superheated metallic oxides which are fused to the lens at the molecular
level, permanently bonding to create a uniform filtering layer that
optimizes contrast and minimizes glare. Tuned to transmit from 9 to
92 percent of available light, the coatings are specifically formulated
for optimal balance between reflection, transmission and absorption,
depending on the usage. The unisex Oakley Penny Plasma frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the Ice Iridium lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.0" at the widest points. You'll find the Penny serial number impressed on the inside of one ear stem near the hinge, and on most production one ear pad is impressed CE while the other is impressed Made in USA.
