Vuarnet 006 Skilynx Slate Blue Sunglasses
Vintage Vuarnet 006 sunglasses feature a striking slate blue frame in the classic Wayfarer shape of Vuarnet 006 sunglasses. This is a hard to find color in the Vuarnet line, and it looks great with the Vuarnet PX-4000 Skilynx lenses, an amber-yellow base mineral glass lens with anti-reflective interior coatings and double gradient mirror silver exterior filters. The Vuarnet Skilynx lens eliminates glare and reflection while enhancing contrast and depth of field, known as "the essential lens for in the mountains and at sea". The unisex Vuarnet 006 frame measure approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the PX-4000 Skilynx mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.675" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet V on a Ski at the top center. You'll find the Vuarnet PX (Pouilloux) logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and PX Vuarnet embossed on the other, and the inside of one ear stem is impressed France along with the French crown trademark and on some production also marked either 006 or 4006 (the 4 prefix was added c early 1990s to denote PX-4000 Skilynx lenses in a change of marking convention but they are identical).
