The rare black chrome frame is far harder to find than the more typical Arista gold plating of vintage Ray-Ban Ambermatics, and the "General" brow bar helps to improve the balance of the sunglasses on the face. The highly innovative Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic lenses are photochromatic, lightening and darkening in response to varying light conditions; this is a property infused into the glass lens and not a coating that will ever wear out or wear off. The unisex black chrome Ambermatic Outdoorsman frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the 62mm Ambermatic mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points.
