Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5623 56 sunglasses c early to mid 1980s feature a very rare blue metallic Austrian frame and equally rare blue mirror and brown gradient lenses. This was a very low production frame and lens color combination with fewer than 1000 estimated to have ever been produced worldwide. The highly reflective blue mirror lenses look fantastic with the purple metallic frame, while the brown gradient lenses also give you a more conservative lens color option while still retaining the eye catching flash of the frame. The center frame hinge raises to allow the interchangeable lenses to be inserted into small prongs on the frame, and the second set of lenses are stored in a felt pouch in the included black Carrera Porsche Design case. The Carrera 5623 56 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.675" x 2.125" at the widest points. Carrera Porsche Design along with the PD logo is laser etched on the left lens of both lens sets, and one ear stem is impressed with the unique serial number and marked Made in Austria 5623 56 130 and the other stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera along with the US patent number. While there may be some de minimus marks visible under magnification from long storage, these are new old stock Carrera Porsche Design 5623 56 sunglasses in de facto mint, unworn condition direct from the collection of a well known sports figure and customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
