Beautiful gold plated vintage Ray-Ban 58mm aviator / driving sunglasses with top General bar and paddle ear stems for easy on and off convenience are a classic of vintage sunglass design. The gold frame measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple really complements the B&L G-15 anti-glare green lenses which measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points. Nobody would confuse the crisp optics and enhanced visual acuity of original Bausch & Lomb G-15 aviator lenses like these with the modern versions of Ray-Bans being made by Italian conglomerate Luxottica. Both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges as a mark of authenticity, but they pre-date laser etching of the Ray-Ban logo which only began in the mid 1980s. The top of the double nose bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 all impressed in the gold plating.
