1 Vintage Serengeti 7222 X Large Aviator sunglasses are a real classic in vintage sunglass design, one of the premier styles in the Serengeti Drivers Series c early 1990s and made in only very small quantities. You'll love the high performance of these Corning Optics mineral glass lenses used in vintage Serengetis, here a rare Vermillion lens which is a far cry from today's Serengeti sunglasses with plastic lenses. The black aviator frame is reminiscent of a very large Ray-Ban black chrome aviator, and you'll find the Serengeti logo impressed on the exterior of both ear stems. The unisex Serengeti 7222 frame measures approximately 5.875" temple to temple, and the Corning Optics lenses measure approximately 2.675" x 2.25" at the widest points. The rose tint on the rear of the lenses provides superior anti-glare protection and selectively filters blue light which causes hazy vision and eye fatigue. The inside of one ear stem is marked Serengeti Drivers, the ear pad is marked 7222 V, and the inside of the other stem is marked Corning Optics and the other ear pad is marked Japan, part of the collection of a well known sports figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
