1 Vintage Ray-Ban L0227 Caravan sunglasses c 1980s - 1990s are the classic design that combines a B&L Ray-Ban gold plated frame with Bausch & Lomb G-15 lenses, one of the most celebrated of all vintage B&L Ray-Ban designs. The Caravan design was revolutionary in its lens shape, and the rounded square design proved to be perfectly suited for a wide variety of face sizes and shapes. The unisex Ray-Ban Caravan frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the 58mm lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.75" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58  14, and on some production one ear pad is impressed L0227 UVAS.

2 Vintage Ray-Ban Caravan sunglasses c 1960s - 1970s are the earliest production of this iconic style , and pre-date the laser etching of the Ray-Ban logo in italics on the lenses as seen in photos 1 and 2. A real collector item, they're perfect for those who like the oldest possible example of an iconic style like Ray-Ban Caravans as well as those who prefer less obvious branding on the lenses. They are identical in size, shape, and appearance to those pictured below aside from the absence of the Ray-Ban logo on the lens, and the top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while B&L Ray-Ban 58  16 is impressed on the bottom of the bridge.
