Stylish and elegant in gleaming smooth chrome paired with Revo's top of the line Revo P H20 polarized stealth lens, it's easy to see why the vintage Revo 3030 080/65 sunglasses have been worn by sports figures and celebrities around the world. The lens are just beautiful to begin with, light blue mirrored finish with hues of red and purple that come through in sunlight. The Revo P H20 mirrored stealth lens is highly reflective, creating a really unique look for others looking at the wearer. A lot of Revo frames are etched and textured, so we like the fact that this model is silky smooth chrome with the ear stems made of nicely shaped chrome half way down and changes to black prior to the ear pads. The sunglasses shape is gently wrapped around the face for good wind and UV sun protection from the sides, and they feature the Revo logo on each ear stem at the spring loaded hinge points. The rectangular lens are curved and subtly wrapped, and the Revo P lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.25" at the widest points with the frame 5.25" temple to temple. One lens is marked Revo P and the other marked H20, and they also retain the original marked Revo nose pads. One of the ear stems is marked 3030 080/65 59 17 130 while the other is marked Revo Made in Italy CE Polarized LMS. Try Them On! /2 $345.00

Very rare Ray-Ban bullet hole Leather shooter sunglasses come to you as part of a major Minneapolis, MN estate consignment of the finest vintage fashion accessories. Ray-Ban made many great styles of sunglasses while part of Bausch & Lomb and before being sold off to conglomerate Luxottica in 1999, but none do we like better than classic and vintage B&L Ray-Ban Leathers sunglasses. Always popular and unique, it's a sunglasses design that you just don't see from any other manufacturer than Ray-Ban. The teardrop shaped lens and aviator frame are wrapped in leather, in this case a lighter brown leather that covers the front of the glasses as well as the ear pads. You can buy Leathers in black also, but we think there's a lot to be said for this light brown leather being right at the top. The gold plated frame is of typical Ray-Ban quality in aviator sunglasses, and these incorporate the very desirable "bullet hole" design of a center ring in between the Ray-Ban aviator lens. The contrast of the gold metal with the brown leather is quite striking, and trust us (we all tried them on) they look great on the face and, in the case of our staff, was universally agreed to make us look much better than we really do. The brown B-15 lens measures approximately 2.25" x 2.0" at the widest points, and the right lens also has the inscribed Ray-Ban logo. The top of the lower gold nose bridge underneath the one that's leather covered is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA impressed in the metal. Super look and great UV eye protection with the vintage Bausch & Lomb lens. Try Them On! $385.00

Rare and authentic vintage 1940s metal framed, leather blinkered pilot or motorcycle goggles look great as regular sunglasses, ski and snowboard glasses, or ready for the Harley or Cessna. We see vintage steampunk goggles from time to time dating to the early to middle of the 20th century, but everyone here agreed that these have a style and quality that sets them apart. The silver metal frame holds the original round lens, the most notable style aspect of which is how flush and flat the lens fit against the front of the frame. The ear stems are flexible wire to provide a nice, secure fit perfect for active outdoor pursuits. The wire ear stems slot through the leather side blinkers that adorn each side of these vintage steampunk goggles, and if you haven't worn sunglasses that have the side blinkers you'll really like how they keep the wind and sunlight off your eyes from the sides. The double metal nose bridge has design roots in the aviator sunglasses that Bausch & Lomb was introducing about the same time under the Ray-Ban brand, but we really like the wide separation of the 2 bars on these vintage goggles. The inside of one of the 2 leather side blinkers has been marked Steele 387 which we believe to be a previous owner and perhaps the airplane the original owner may have flown wearing these goggles. Sure to get you lots of notice, these are not reproductions but rather authentic vintage steampunk pilot / motorcycle goggles in very good vintage condition- well taken care of over the years. The frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the lens are approximately 1.875" in diameter. Try Them On! /185 SOLD

Rare Persol Ratti 003 sunglasses are c late 1980's sunglasses with side flaps and a super tortoise shell frame. The design of these vintage Persol sunglasses is pretty eye catching as you'll see in the pictures, sure to get compliments and attention but not so flashy as to look ridiculous in non-Hollywood settings. We love the aviator styling with double nose bridge, somewhat square mineral lenses, always desirable and hard to find side flaps, and double brass bands on each ear stem that perfectly comlement the tortoise shell frame. Please note that these are old and vintage Persol sunglasses made in the Ratti manufacturing center which represents Persol's highest quality production. The Persol name is derived from "per il sole" which in Italian means "for the sun." Formed in 1917 by Giuseppe Ratti, Persol originally catered to pilots and sports drivers and is famous worldwide for its stylish and durable sports sunglasses. These Persol 003 sunglasses have the high end Meflecto System (flexible temples) and brown Persol mineral lenses. These are unworn, mint condition deadstock Persol Ratti sunglasses c 1987 which were obtained directly from Europe and exclusive to the Vintage Sunglasses Shop. As such, they have the original Persol sticker on the front lens and the original Persol tag with the 1987 copyright and noting the Ratti manufacture. Persol sunglasses have long been a favorite of movie and TV productions. Both Daniel Craig and Pierce Bronson wore Persol sunglasses in the James Bond films Casino Royale and Die Another Day respectively, and Don Johnson wore Persol sunglasses on Miami Vice while Bill Murray can be seen wearing them in Lost in Translation. The Persol Ratti 003 sunglasses measure approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and each lens measures approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest point. Rare 80's style with the always popular and unique side flaps, and almost unheard of as period 1980's deadstock in unworn condition, this new listing is sure not to last long on the site. Vintage Revo 953 008 sunglasses feature a wonderful tortoise shell frame, a great shape, and intricate etching in the metal that frames the hinge points and nose bridge of the front and the ear stems on the sides. As a subtle design detail, we like the rivets just below the nose bridge visible from the front, which kind of draws the eye toward the center where you then notice the elaborate etching in the metal nose bridge itself. These lens change color from amber to deep purple depending on the angle of the light, one of the most desirable of all Revo lens color combinations. The lens themselves measure approximately 1.75" x 1.75" at the widest points on a frame measuring 5.25" temple to temple, and they look great (trust us, we tried them) as both men's and women's sunglasses. These vintage Revo 953 sunglasses retain the original marked Revo nose pads and are marked Revo raised in the metal on the ear stems near the hinge points and CE 953-008 Frame Japan on the interior of the ear stem. Our favorite among all Vuarnet sunglasses styles, quite rare and early Vuarnet 019 metal frame vintage sunglasses are very different than the sometimes repetitive Vuarnet Wayfarer look designs and, in our view, much more interesting. There are a number of subtle design elements on these vintage Vuarnets, particularly the wide, banded frame that holds each lens and the unique narrowing of the ear stem at the hinge point only to expand thereafter and continue down to the ear pad. These design elements really stand out, and the silver looks great with the Vuarnet Pouilloux PX 2000 lens. In that regard, these Pouilloux lens appear amber from the front that darkens in sunlight but pick up hues of blue when seen from behind. This is exactly the opposite of what you find with other high quality glass lens such as Revo. Not only did everyone here at the Vintage Sunglasses Shop love these vintage Vuarnet sunglasses, but nobody had ever seen a pair like this either. Roger Pouilloux and Jean Vuarnet created the first Vuarnet sunglasses in 1961, with optical quality lens offering unprecedented protection from the sun in leisure-oriented sports and adventure activities such as skiing. The Vuarnet logo and stylized P for Pouilloux are on the outside of each ear stem inscribed in the metal, and the inside of one ear stem is marked Pouilloux France CE and the other is marked 019 48 [] 22 140 all inscribed in the metal frame. The nose pads are also original and are marked with the stylized P. Very rare and a great look for men and women. Try Them On! /245 SOLD

Early Revo 1111 011 Python sunglasses are in very good vintage condition, and we love the Revo python metal frames with the gray metal look of snake skin down each ear stem and on the gently curved nose bridge. The Python stealth mirrored polarized lens are perhaps the finest single lens Revo ever produced, and the size and style of these sunglasses look equally striking on a man or a woman. It is hard to capture the true appearance of these vintage Revo lens in photography because they alter their "stealth" appearance quite dramatically in different light conditions. In normal or interior lighting they have a shimmering light blue look with hints of red and purple, but the more direct the sunlight they reflect the more the mirror properties of the lens rise to the forefront and makes it near impossible for others to see you but you have a clear and UV protected view of them, hence the "stealth" moniker. The lens themselves measure approximately 2.0" x 1.25" at the widest points of these oval shaped lens. The frames themselves measure approximately 5.25" temple to temple and are suitable for a man or a woman. Some of the marks are still visible on the ear stem including Revo CE mark preceding the model number and Frame Italy, but some of the print has faded over the years. The Revo logo is also impressed in the metal at the hinge points on both ear bars, a perfect complement to the snakeskin texture of the Revo 1111 python look. The ear bars have spring loaded hinges which always makes for a particularly comfortable fit for a variety of facial contours, and these are even original right down to the Revo logo on the two celluloid nose pads. Sleek and stylish with a unisex size and look, the classic Revo 1111 Python sunglasses have been copied, including variations by Revo themselves, but the clean lines and uniqueness of the original as you see here has never been equaled or surpassed. The Revo brand was acquired by the conglomerate Luxottica in 1999, and there is no comparison in quality between a vintage pair of Revos such as these and the modern Luxottica styles. Note the subtly curved shape of the frame's ear stems, continuing the curve of the lens and wrapping back around the head. It's a sleek chrome look, with the Revo logo embossed at each of the 2 spring loaded hinge points. The lens are curved and measure approximately 2.0" x 1.375" at the widest points, and one is marked Revo P and the other is marked H20. One of the rarest designs, these vintage Revo 953 sunglasses feature a wonderful matte black frame, a great shape, and intricate etching in the metal that frames the hinge points and nose bridge of the front and the ear stems on the sides. Best of all, the vintage Revo purple mirrored lens are one of the most sought after of all Revo lens sure to generate questions and compliments anywhere you go. As a subtle design detail, we also like the rivets just below the nose bridge visible from the front, which kind of draws the eye toward the center where you then notice the elaborate etching in the metal nose bridge itself. These mirrored lens are deep purple with rose colored hues when sunlight hits them from the front, highly reflective to reflect anything in their path, but they appear brown when viewed from the rear. The lens themselves measure approximately 1.75" x 1.75" at the widest points on a frame measuring 5.25" temple to temple, and they look great (trust us, we tried them) as both men's and women's sunglasses. Very early B&L Ray-Ban 1/10 12k Gold Filled Shooter sunglasses, c early 1970s, are extraordinarily rare and feature the bullet hole design and curved wire outdoorsman ear stems. This is such a comfortable design that they've always been in demand, but the visual acuity you can get with these vintage B&L shooter lenses is really what has sustained demand and high prices for 50 years. These are one of the most famous of all vintage Ray-Bans, and the center bullet hole design is functional in positioning the frame perfectly on your face not to mention that it looks cool! Super brushed gray gunmetal frame is an eclectic complement to the Revo light blue mirrored stealth lens in these vintage Revo 1416 044 sunglasses. We really like this style, particularly the frame and lens color combination but also right down the details such as the gray tortoise ear pads that round out the look. It's pretty interesting that, upon close examination, we really see 3 distinct colors in these frames: The darker brushed gunmetal framing of the lens and ear stems, the lighter brushed metal spring loaded hinge points and nose bridge, and the gray tortoise ear pads. While different, we think they blend together perfectly and add a lot of extra design flair. The highly reflective mirrored stealth lens are one of the single best and most popular of all top quality Revo UV protected lens, and they measure approximately 2.0" x 1.25" at the widest points of the oval on a frame measuring 5.25" temple to temple. We are fond of vintage Revo sunglasses styles that have top accents that flare out on the corners, and our favorite example is the Revo model 970 001 sunglasses with blue mirrored lens. The black Italian frame features an etched teardrop design at each temple and the Revo logo impressed in the metal of both ear stems near the spring loaded hinge point. It's a great look, and blue has always been the single most popular of the Revo mirror lens colors. Among the different Revo frame colors paired with the reflective blue mirror lens, we think matte black makes the most striking color combination.
