If you like the look of smaller size sunglasses that can be worn by men or women, it's hard to do better than the vintage Revo 1105 008 Italian design that combines an antique gold frame with Revo's amber and purple lens surrounded by a thin band of tortoise shell. These sunglasses pick up plenty of hues of purple in the sunlight, effectively changing color from amber in low light conditions to a reflective purple mirror in direct sunlight. Each spring loaded hinge point at the corner of the temples has an etched design in the metal for added design flair, and the Revo logo is raised in the metal of both ear stems near the hinge points. The ear pads are also tortoise, complementing the tortoise band around the lenses and effectively completing the design. The frame measures approximately 4.75" temple to temple, and each lens measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5" at the widest points. You'll love the combination of tortoise, brushed antique gold, and the purple hues of the Revo lens that combine to make this one of Revo's most distinctive designs. The inside of the ear stem is marked 1105/008 Frame Italy, and these 1105 sunglasses also retain the original marked Revo celluloid nose pads. It's a great design, one of a pair of Revo 1105 sunglasses exclusive to Collectics from a San Diego, CA collector of vintage Revo, Ray-Ban, and Giorgio Armani sunglasses. Try Them On! $225.00

Rare Ray-Ban glacier glasses, Arctic Cat CATS sunglasses by Bausch & Lomb are fully mirrored and include the leather nose bridge cover and the two side blinders that swing on a hinge in and out to protect the eyes from wind, rain, and sun from the sides yet fold inward for easy storage. Ray-Ban CATS are very popular in the vintage market regardless, but you will seldom see vintage Arctic Cat glacier glasses. They come in the original Ray-Ban CATS case and have the connected strap to go around your neck. These sunglasses have serious mountain climbing and skiing optics and design, and the leather blinders do a great job of keeping the wind out - and look much cooler than goggles! The ear pads are the curved, flexible shooter outdoorsman style that helps the glasses stay on in fast moving, active conditions. The leather nose bridge cover snaps around the frame and keeps the frame from sticking to the skin in extreme cold conditions. However, the leather blinders can be removed as can the snap on nose bridge cover, so when these are off you have a regular pair of B&L CATS to wear in warm weather conditions. The B&L G-31 full mirrored lens is superb, reflecting everything and protecting the eyes with complete UV protection even in the most extreme conditions. The teardrop shaped lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest point, and the frame measures 5.5" temple to temple. Both lens have the small inscribed BL logo near the hinges while the right lens has Ray-Ban mark inscribed in the glass. The outside of one ear stem is marked Ray-Ban while the other is marked Cats. The inside of one stem bar is marked Bausch & Lomb and Frame France while the inside of the other stem is marked Frame France. Vintage Ray-Ban CATS glacier glasses will bring out the arctic cat in you, sunglasses that look great in rain or shine, wind or hail, snow or bright sunlight. Try Them On! SOLD

Vintage 1950s French cat's eye sunglasses are a blue base color coupled with Art Deco inspired starbursts at each front corner that features gold highlights and two studs on each side for a little added design flair. Blue is highly desirable yet strangely hard to find in vintage sunglasses, so we were all pleased to discover this 50s vintage French style as part of a major estate consignment exclusive to Collectics from Austin, Texas. These cat eye sunglasses are not as extreme in shape as some, and we think they look great with either formal or informal wear. These vintage women's sunglasses feature lens that measure 2.0" x 1.125" at the widest points, and they measure 5.75" temple to temple when the elongated Art Deco styled temples are included. They are marked on the interior of the ear stem Made in France. Our vintage cat's eye sunglasses from the 50's and 60's never last long on the site, and then we get tons of emails inquiring whether another pair is available after they're marked sold. These are priced to sell quickly so don't wait! Try Them On! $165.00

Vintage Revo 1415 036 sunglasses feature an antique bronze metal frame, Made in Italy, with the Revo logo on each ear stem near the hinges and the rare Revo purple / violet lens. The overall style is very retro, with thicker than normal oval frames giving the vintage sunglasses a very mod look. This is especially true when combined with the effect of the purple Revo lens that contrasts so perfectly with the light antique bronze color of the frame. The brushed metal frame looks great with ear stems that have the Revo logo raised in the metal at the hinge points and tortoise shell ear pads - another nice design contrast. The interior of one ear stem is marked CE 1415/036 Frame Italy along with the distinctive marked Revo nose pads and hinges. As with most vintage Revo sunglass styles, these are really striking and suitable as men's or women's sunglasses. Try Them On! $235.00

Exceptionally rare and in mint condition are these authentic Bausch & Lomb B&L Ful Vue safety glasses c 1949 in the original box! Combining extra strong B&L green safety glass lens with a very sturdy metal frame, we can pretty much assure you that no goggles or safety glasses are made to this kind of quality today. Perfect for use as motorcycle goggles (and a lot cooler than the steampunk look), aviator sunglasses, ski sunglasses, or their intended use as safety glasses, anyone who wears these is sure to attract inevitable questions and comments. We love the side blinders that keep wind and sunlight out while protecting the eye from the side, and they swing on a hinge for closing the glasses and conforming to the face. It is quite unique how these glasses fold, for the front hinge rotates a full 180 degrees so they are hinged back for wearing and hinged forward for closing the glasses. If it were otherwise, they would not close with the side blinders in the way. Very unique. Each ear stem is a strong, coated wire curved in the back with the shooter design to fit securely around the ear, and each 1.875" diameter green B&L lens is marked at the top with the etched B&L logo in the glass lens. They measure approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and everything about them is in mint new condition. There were found as part of an estate in the warehouse of an Ohio contractor, covered in dust in the back of an old cabinet and clearly forgotten for 60 years. Aside from the B+L logo etched into the green safety glass lens, the glasses are also marked on the nose bridge B&L Ful-Vue 23 impressed in the metal. The original B&L Ful-Vue cardboard box reads "Protect the only pair of eyes you'll ever have" along with Bausch & Lomb Safety Glasses on the front, and Made in USA on the back. On the side of the box is the catalogue number, screen type, size, and lens, and the date of 6/49 is stamped on the side. Rare and one of a kind; includes glasses and original box. White Ray-Ban Wayfarer 5022 sunglasses with green B&L lens are extremely rare, probably more desirable today in the age of light color, larger men's and women's sunglasses than they were when first produced c 1960s. You can still find a fair number of black and tortoise vintage Wayfarer sunglasses, but it's difficult to find the white, low production 5022 Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Note that Wayfarer 5022 sunglasses were the original design, and very different from modern white Ray-Ban Wayfarers now made by Luxottica versus Bausch & Lomb. Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses were first manufactured by B&L in 1952, when their design was a revolutionary break from the metal eyewear of the past. Wayfarers enjoyed early popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, especially after they were worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. Though the sunglasses had faded from the limelight by the 1970s, a lucrative 1982 product placement deal in the Blues Brothers movie with John Belushi brought Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses to their height of popularity. Wayfarers are usually cited as the best selling sunglass design in history and have been called a "classic of modern design" as "one of the most enduring fashion icons of the 20th century." Marilyn Monroe made Wayfarers a cult object, and Audrey Hepburn's wearing of tortoise shell Wayfarers sunglasses in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's transformed the Wayfarer into a legend. During the 1950s and 1960s, celebrities including John Lennon, Bob Dylan, James Dean, John F. Kennedy, Roy Orbison, and Andy Warhol were all known for wearing Wayfarers. Each B&L Ray-Ban lens measures approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points, and each is marked with the small B+L logo etched in the glass lens. These rare white Wayfarers are also marked B&L 5022 impressed in the frame above the right lens, and one ear stem is marked Wayfarer while the other stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A. Rare vintage Oliver Peoples OP 60 tortoise shell and etched metal unisex men's or women's sunglasses have a classic look but unmistakable Oliver Peoples design and high quality in the lens and the frame materials. The balance of the design is perfect, with lens not totally round but perfectly shaped for both good looks and to UV protect the entire field of normal vision. The nose bar is etched metal in an antique bronze finish as are the ear stems right down to the end ear pads which then revert to tortoise. Interestingly, this is a style that almost looks better from behind than the front, as we particularly liked the metal nose bridge and studs that give the model an almost industrial look from behind. Elegant enough to wear to the most formal of occasions yet still looking great with jeans, these vintage Oliver Peoples LA sunglasses are marked on one ear stem OP-60 DTB AG and a Japanese mark and the other ear stem is marked Oliver Peoples LA along with the Oliver Peoples logo. The brown lens are the right complement to the tortoise shell, measuring approximately 1.75" x 1.75" at the widest points and a frame measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple. Each of the lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.650" at the widest points while the unisex frame measures 5.25" temple to temple. The Revo stealth mirror polarized lens is highly reflective and really eye catching whether in bright sunlight or in more dimly lit settings. The Italian frame also features spring loaded hinges and the original marked Revo celluloid nose pads. These antique teashade sunglasses c early 1900s are in excellent condition and look as cool today as they did in their time at the turn of the 20th century. They feature small John Lennon style green oval glass lens measuring approximately 1.25" x 1.0" (but these are the real antique, not a mod 1960s copy) and thin, flexible wire ear stems that curve around the ear for secure fit. Our staff noted how classic teashades are, and teashade sunglasses are still very fashionable today. It's an elegant and streamlined design, unmarked as was the norm but clearly of high quality. Vintage Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 aviator sunglasses with fine gold plated metal frame, teardrop aviator lens design, and B&L B-15 high contrast and UV protected brown lens are a must have in your sunglasses collection and a great gift for any pilot or outdoorsman in your life. This B&L lens was designed to screen out blue light to improve contrast, sharpen details, and absorb 85% of visible light with 100% UV protection. Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses became instantly famous when General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach in the Philippines in World War II, and photographers snapped pictures of him wearing B&L Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses. The classic Ray-Ban aviators are some of the best marked sunglasses on the market despite the limited space for such marks on the frame. These vintage Ray-Bans are marked on the top of the upper nose bar B&L Ray-Ban USA impressed in the gold plated metal frame and marked B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 impressed in the metal beneath the bottom nose bar. The right teardrop amber B&L lens is marked Ray-Ban, and both lens have the small B+L logo impressed in the glass lens near the hinge points. 1. Rare vintage Revo 962 010 sunglasses feature an antique bronze frame, black ear stems for a striking contrast, and the very desirable Revo brown and purple tint lens. The 962 is one of the most popular styles Revo ever made, and we seldom see the purple lens, black ear bar, and antique bronze frame combination as in these 010 models. When light conditions are low, these lens can appear brown from the front similar to how they look from behind, but you will be amazed at how they change to purple when seen from the front in conditions of more direct and substantial sunlight. The overall effect is pretty dramatic, with the antique bronze frame wrapping the purple lens and combining with the jet black ear stems to complete the design. The oval Revo lens are moderately reflective and measure approximately 1.875" x 1.5" at the widest point, and the frame measures 5.25" temple to temple. One ear stem is marked CE 962/010 Frame Japan, and they are all original right down to the marked Revo nose pads. Each of the black ear bars are also marked with the Revo logo at the hinge points, completing a superb vintage Revo 962 design that you'll find suitable for casual and formal occasions but always exuding quality and style. 2. Sometimes we receive from an estate collection a great pair of rare vintage sunglasses that just don't quite live up to our condition standards but are too good to pass up. Of course, we are also able to pass substantial cost savings on to you. These vintage Revo 962 010 sunglasses are 100% authentic and identical to the ones above and shown in the photos, but they have a few very light lens scratches less than 0.1" that kept them from a main listing on the site. We could see them when looking closely and angled under a light source, but they were not visible when worn out in the sunlight which of course is the primary reason you buy great sunglasses. The few light scuffs disqualified them from a primary listing on the site, but we're pleased to offer them to you here at a heavily discounted price as part of our Second Chance Program.

Vintage Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses offered here are the striking titanium silver aviator Model 5621 71 complete with rare rose color as well as brown, partially gradient Porsche Design lens and the original hard sided Carrera Porsche Design case. This classic sunglass design uses the center hinge between the two teardrop lens to replace the lens, raising up to allow the lens to be removed, the alternative lens to be inserted into small prongs on the frame, and then clamping down the center hinge to secure the lens. This design provides a lot of flexibility to the owner with two complete sets of lens, and the only drawback is that the clamp could sometimes leave de minimus marks on the edge of the lens- which really doesn't matter since you never see them when on the frame. These vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5621 sunglasses feature a titanium silver frame that provides a perfect contrast when combined with either the rose or brown lens. The replacement lens are stored in a velvet pouch which is part of the original case, perfectly sized for their storage. The lens are all marked Porsche Design and measure approximately 2.5" x 2.25" at the widest points, and the frame measures 5.5" temple to temple. Fully and properly marked, one ear bar is marked Porsche Design by Carrera while the other is marked Made in Austria 5621 71 along with the serial number all impressed in the metal of the frame. So you want your vintage B&L Ray-Bans but you want a very special version too. Well, perhaps these will fit the bill as we offer these vintage B&L Ray-Ban 58 14 outdoorsman gold aviator shooter sunglasses featuring the curved wire shooter ear stems and world famous B&L Ray-Ban Ambermatic lens. It's the classic B&L Ray-Ban aviator equipped with one of the very best sunglass lens ever made in the Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic lens. If you've ever worn a pair of Ambermatics, you'll know why they're like candy for the eyes. Ambermatic lenses self-adjust to just about any lighting situation you may encounter, getting darker in colder temperatures to make them ideal lenses for the ski slopes or high mountain trails. And since these Ambermatics have comfortable paddle temples, it also makes these vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses perfect for long summer drives. B & L Ambermatic lenses provide 100% UV protection regardless of the lighting situation. The 58mm lenses on these shooter style aviator sunglasses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points and have the B&L logo etched in the glass lens. Because they do not have the Ray-Ban script logo on the lens, it means they were most likely made in the early 1980's before the Ray-Ban script logo had been introduced to the lens surface. That makes these vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses some of the first Ambermatics made, and new Ambermatics haven't been made since the late 1990's when Ray-Ban was sold to the European consortium Luxottica. Other sunglasses makers have tried to imitate the Ambermatic lens but have ultimately fallen well short of the goal. These vintage Ray-Ban outdoorsman Ambermatic sunglasses measure approximately 5.25" temple to temple and are fully and properly marked with B&L Ray-Ban USA impressed in the metal on top of the nose bridge under the celluloid covered back bracing bar and marked B&L 58 [] 14 Ray-Ban USA impressed in the metal beneath the nose bridge. Very vintage Giorgio Armani 901 tortoise shell sunglasses feature the very hard to find yellow tortoise shell frame, and the Armani design is particularly interesting in that the tortoise effect is limited to the top front and side ear stems of the frame, but the sides and bottoms of the nicely rounded dark green Armani lens are clear yellow. The shape of these vintage Armani sunglasses is quite classic, and they look great as sunglasses for a man or a woman. The lens measure approximately 1.75" in diameter at the widest points, and the frame measures 5.375" temple to temple. These vintage Armani sunglasses look really good with suits and more formal wear, but the style is equally at home with jeans. The outside of the 2 tortoise shell ear stems are marked Giorgio Armani at the hinge points, and the inside of both ear stems has Giorgio Armani impressed in the frame along with the remnants of Made in Italy on one side and 901 097 145 on the other side. Revo 1202 034 vintage sunglasses feature some of the most intricate, extensive etching in the metal frame you will ever see on Revo sunglasses or for that matter any other designer. The antique copper metal frame is etched on the top, bottom, and sides - around the entire perimeter of the green Revo lens, across the nose bridge, and down each of the two ear stems. We particularly like the way the Revo logo is impressed in the frame on each ear stem at the hinges, nicely integrated with the intricate etched pattern that continues down the ear stems to the ear pads. The copper and green color combination of the Revo 1202 style is very strong, and Revo took care to ensure that nothing in the design took too much attention away from the intricate etching on the metal frame. The Revo lens measure approximately 1.75" x 1.75" at the widest points although they are not perfectly round, and the unisex frame measures 5.25" temple to temple. The inside of the ear stem is marked CE 1202/034 and Frame Japan. Another rare and seldom seen style of vintage Revo sunglasses, part of a Malibu, California estate consignment exclusive to Collectics and the Vintage Sunglasses Shop that included 24 of the finest examples of vintage Revo, Ray-Ban, Porsche Design by Carrera, Oliver Peoples LA, and Giorgio Armani men's and women's sunglasses. Super cool 1950s French Lalu rhinestone sunglasses are quite unique in that they have beige as the primary color of the exterior frame coupled with an interior lining color that is more off white to provide a very interesting color contrast. Aside from the high quality of French sunglasses produced in the middle of the 20th century, what really stands out in these sunglasses are the rhinestones and etching that decorates both temples and ear stems of the sunglasses. One of the rhinestones is particularly large and faceted, and they really catch and reflect the light on each corner. It's really a great look, and we really like the way the frame has a subtle wrap around the temples that adds a last little bit of design flair. The frame measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple while the lens measure approximately 1.875" x 1.125" at the widest points, and the inside of one ear stem is marked Lalu etched in script while the other ear stem is marked Frame France. For a pseudo preppy look with a lot more flair and style, check out these vintage Revo 1401 008 sunglasses that use thin tortoise shell to frame the round Revo lens set in a brushed and etched gold metal frame. Put it all together and you've got an impressive fashion look right down to the tortoise shell ear pads that tie back to the thin tortoise used on the front of the frame holding the lens. All in all, the colors go perfectly together to create a style that won't leap out at you like Oakleys but one that people in the know will recognize as eclectic and expensive. Both ear stems are etched all the way down to the ear pads, starting with the raised Revo logo at the spring loaded hinge points. This early Revo 1401 style, c late 1980s or early 1990s, still has the original celluloid nose pads marked Revo, and they are also marked on the inside of the ear stem 1401-008 Frame Japan, part of a major Atlanta, GA estate consignment. Aficionados of Cazal sunglasses know that they embody eye catching style without resorting to the excessive use of brand names and logos plastered all over the sunglasses and ruining their look- unless you like being a walking billboard for the designer. Made in Germany, these are Cazal model 734 sunglasses are an interesting Cazal interpretation of the classic aviator style of sunglasses. The lens are uniquely and irregularly shaped to make for a great look, an almost abstract take on aviators introduced by B&L Ray-Ban in the 1930s. The use of gold as a highlight color, the uniquely shaped hinges, and the subtle yet effective Cazal logo on the exterior of both ear stems all caught our eye. Cazal founder Cari Zalloni is a designer of outstanding reputation who created Cazal sunglasses (a name derived by combining the first syllables of his first and last names) which are known for an aggressive styling, unique detailing, and quality craftsmanship. The founder was quotes as saying that "a designer eyewear line that pleases everyone is unlikely to inspire. Good design must be thought-provoking." Alas, we digress. The frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple while the lens measure approximately 2.0" x 1.5" at the widest points. Vintage Vera Bradley 3503 S Java Blue polarized sunglasses are our consensus favorite Vera Bradley design. We like the rectangular brown lens that curve subtly upward at the nose coupled with the shimmering abstract floral design on the two ear bars. The ear stems are thick to match the height of the lens at the hinge point, providing a nice wrap effect to help shield the sides of the eyes but without the extreme designs of other makers.
