1. Early, rare,
and original classic B&L Ray-Ban 58mm green aviator sunglasses
with rare 12k gold plated B&L frame and traditional ear stems
c 1960s are the real thing and not inferior, more modern reproductions
of the style. Celebrities, sunglass coollectors, and those in
the know seek out the authentic Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban aviators
from this period because they recognize the quality differences
and vintage aviators that hold their value. You'll immediately
recognize the early aviator teardrop lens shape measuring approximately
2.5" x 1.875" at the widest points, pre-dating by a
decade B&L's use of the Ray-Ban logo in script on the lens.
The 12k gold filled frame is very hard to find from this period,
assuring you that the gold plating on this pair of classic Ray-Ban
aviators is going to last a lifetime and will not chip or degrade
over the years. The top of the nose bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban
USA while the bottom is marked B&L 1/10 12k GF, all impressed
in the metal. The frame itself measures approximately 5.25"
temple to temple, making this the right size vintage aviator for
both men and women. You'll also appreciate the original bakelite
nose pads, another way those in the know can tell early vintage

but these are 12k gold filled shooters and have the curved wire
outdoorsman shooter ear stems for a secure fit in all conditions.

We can only
describe these vintage Revo 964 001 sunglasses as beautiful, combining
gleaming Revo blue mirrored lenses in a black matte aviator style
frame - but with a unique Revo flavor. The matte black metal and
blue mirror lenses give Revo 964 sunglasses is a really sleek combination,
and we like how the Revo logo is integrated into the metal on each
ear stem near the spring loaded hinge points. While Revo did a lot
of very strong frame and lens material and color combinations between
the mid 1970s and the end of the 1990s, we think the black matte
frames coupled with Revo blue mirrored lenses like these Revo 964
blue mirror sunglasses are hard to beat. These are great vintage
unisex sunglasses, with Italian frame measuring approximately 5.0"
temple to temple and Revo blue mirrored lenses that measure approximately
1.875" x 1.5" at the widest points. The inside of the

Superb Giorgio
Armani Italian style is evident in these classic Armani 836 069
tortoise shell sunglasses reminiscent of vintage Ray-Ban Wayfarers
but with that unique Armani touch. The tortoise is rich and deep,
with plenty of black to contrast with the rich orange of this tortoise
shell color blend. The Italian frame measures approximately 5.25"
temple to temple to make it a nice unisex size frame, and it features
exposed gold hinges at the corners which is a technique Armani used
often in this style of sunglasses. The brown Armani lenses are both
marked GA laser etched in the glass near the hinges, and they measure
approximately 2.0" x 1.5" at the widest points. A subtle
Giorgio Armani logo is on each ear stem near the hinges, and the
inside of one stem is marked Giorgio Armani Made in Italy while

Perfect for

4085 Skilynx sunglasses are one of the most recognizable pair of
sunglasses ever made, featuring the incised Vuarnet V directly above
the nose bridge and of course the amazing Vuarnet Skilynx double
gradient mirrored lenses. The French nylon frame has a suble wrap
design to give you added eye protection on the sides, and it's sturdy
and designed to stand up to active outdoor pursuits. The Vuarnet
Skilynx lens is a wonderful innovation in optical technology, providing
a blue blocker inner coating with the gradient mirror external costing
to give you advanced glare reduction even in the most extreme conditions.The
durable blue French frame is a nice size at approximately 5.375"
temple to temple with lenses measuring approximately 2.25"
x 1.875" at the widest points. These are early vintage Vuarnet
PX Pouilloux Skilynx sunglasses, marked on the exterior of one ear
stem with the PX Pouilloux symbol and marked with the PX symbol
and Vuarnet on the outside of the other stem. The inside of one
ear stem is marked Pouuilloux impressed in the frame, and the inside
of the other stem is marked 4085 along with France and the crown
mark. Both Skilynx mirrored lenses have the Vuarnet V on a Ski laser
etchehd into the lens. Very hard to find style c 1970s - 1980s.

Very rare vintage
B&L Ray-Ban burgundy Leathers sunglasses with pink changeable
lenses have been worn by Hollywood celebrities, sports figures,
and other lucky individuals who appreciate the unique and - may
we say - very cool design and style. We like Ray-Ban Leathers anyway,
but burgundy is a tough color to find and even tougher to find paired
with B&L pink changeable lenses. The pink photochromatic lenses
will darken considerably in the sunlight to provide excellent anti-glare
protection, but they'll lighten indoors to a light pink color and
give you the flexibility to wear them inside without looking stupid
or having overly dark vision. When combined with the bugundy leather
covered B&L Ray-Ban gold plated aviator sunglasses frame, it's
a look that's hard to beat and great for men's and women's sunglasses.
The frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple and
holds B&L Ray-Ban 58mm teardrop shaped aviator lenses. Those
lenses each measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the
widest point, and the right lens has the Ray-Ban logo in script
while both lenses are laser etched BL in the glass near the hinges.

Super cool Carrera
5476 49 sunglasses with C-Vision 400 lenses have a look reminiscent
of Cazal 958 sunglasses, but the Carreras are less architectural
but have more pizzazz in the angular gold and black pattern enamel
that graces each temple of these Austrian sunglasses. One subtle
design feature that we actually like the best about Carrera 5476
sunglasses is the alternating gold and black bands that are airbrushed
together and go down the length of each ear stem to the black ear
pads. It's a look that's sure to be noticed, with temples that extend
out beyond the lenses to create a floating on air effect. The gold
plated frame extends to a width of approximately 5.25" temple
to temple with lenses measuring approximately 2.0" x 1.675"
at the widest points and with left lens marked Carrera C-Vision
400. The Carrera racing logo is embossed on each ear stem near the
hinges, and the inside of one stem is marked Made in Austria 5476

Vintage B&L
Ray-Ban Sidestreet sunglasses are one of our favorites, reminiscent
of the best of Revo designs but with those great Bausch & Lomb
optics in a fully mirrored B&L lens and a brushed matte silver
frame that exudes quality and looks great at the same time. These
are mirrored vintage Bausch & Lomb lenses measuring approximately
1.875" x 1.125" at the widest points, something you don't
see very often and when you do it's a fake the vast majority of
the time. These are completely "right", and we love how
they look in the brushed silver frame that measures approximately
5.25" temple to temple. The inside of one ear stem is marked
B&L Ray-Ban while the rear of the nose bridge is also marked
B&L Ray-Ban, all impressed in the metal, and they also retain
the original marked BL celluloid nose pads. The right lens is marked
with the Ray-Ban logo in script, and both lenses are laser etched
BL near the hinge points. It's a great look, rare to find in the
B&L Ray-Ban product line as not many of these were made.

Elegant Giorgio
Armani 173 705 sunglasses are one of our favorite vintage Armani
sunglass designs, featuring an antique gold frame with hues of black
mixed in and very uniquely shaped Armani brown mineral glass lenses.
The angular lens shape might be described as loosely hexagonal,
but the top angles are more rounded and must have been very difficult
to craft. The brown and antique gold is a great color combination
that goes well with most everything, and it's a perfect unisex frame
size at approximately 5.25" temple to temple and lenses measuring
approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points. The Giorgio
Armani logo is subtly etched on ear ear stem near the hinges, quite
a contrast with the overbearing size of most designer logos in modern
sunglasses. The inside of one ear stem is marked Giorgio Armani
Made Italy CE while the inside of the other stem is marked 173 705
52 [] 18 135. Part of an Atlanta, Georgia sunglass collector's trove,
each lens of these vintage Armani sunglasses is laser etched GA
in the lenses near the hinges, and they also retain the original
marked GA celluloid nose pads.

Revo Venture
aviator sunglasses with black matte metal frame and purple lenses
with hues of red is a low production Revo line that approximates
the look of classic aviator sunglasses - but with Revo's usual flair
for design. The thin black matte frame is designed in the classic
shape, a larger design that looks great on men as well as on women
who are looking for the oversized sunglasses look. While we love
the frame, it's the vibrant, colorful, and highly reflective Revo
lenses that really stand out. The predominant color is purple, but
you'll see plenty of red and orange hues of color as well, especially
in bright sunlight. They measure approximately 2.675" x 2.125"
at the widest points, while the frame measures approximately 5.75"
temple to temple. These were often referred to as "astronaut
glasses" during their production because of the size, shape,
and the use of the highly reflective lenses whose technology was
in fact pioneered in the US space program. The inside of one ear
stem is marked Revo, one of 3 vintage Revos from a major Florida
collector just offered here at the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.

Very vintage
and Italian Giorgio Armani 659 1054 sunglasses feature the unique
Armani curved metal ear stems that always stand out in a crowd coupled
with a thin band of tortoise that frames each lens in the 1054 variation
of the Armani 659 sunglasses line. It's one of our favorite Armani
designs, and the curvature of the brushed metal ear stems and the
thinness of the tortoise band indicates real Italian manufacturing
quality that you don't see all the time. Giorgio Armani 659 sunglasses
are a subtle wrap sunglasses shape, contouring more closely to your
face and providing more protection on the sides from wind, rain,
and glare. It's an elegant and stylish frame that measures approximately
5.5" temple to temple with Armani crystal glass lenses that
measure approximately 2.25" x 1.25" at the widest points
and both laser etched GA near the hinges. These lenses are made
of pure, high quality crystal to eliminate distortion, and they
are heated and cooled to extremes to improve durability and scratch
resistance. As with all Armani lenses, they provide 100% UV protection
and absorb 83% of the visible light without altering color perception.
The Giorgio Armani logo is impressed in the metal on the outside
of each ear stem near the hinges, and the inside of one ear stem
is marked Giorgio Armani Made Italy CE while the inside of the other
stem is marked 659 1054 125. Quality and elegance is evident, part
of a Beverly Hills, CA estate collection of fine vintage sunglasses.

Carrera Porsche
Design 5633 40 is another innovative Carrera interchangeable lens
design, and while lesser known than Carrera PD 5621 and 5623 sunglasses
we happen to think Carrera 5633's equal if not surpasses them. The
5633's were part of Carrera's evolutionary process, developing the
unique one piece double lens design you'll see here but still retaining
the ability to have interchangeable lenses. The lenses are 1 piece
construction, and they slot into prongs on the frame as per the
5621 and 5623 lines with center hinge clamping down to hold them
in place. One good thing about Carrera Porsche Design 5633 sunglasses
versus the other styles is that the lenses are easier to maintain
scratch free this way versus individual lenses having a tendency
to rub together in the 5621's and 5623's, even stored in their felt
pouch. Like those, these Carrera 5633 sunglasses come in the original
hard sided Carrera case that includes a felt pouch to store the
replacement lenses. The frame itself is all gold, and both the rose
tint and brown tint Porsche Design lenses look great and have the
PD logo etched on the left lens. The inside of one ear stem is marked
Porsche Design by Carrera along with the US patent number on the
ear pad while the inside of the other stem is marked Made in Austria
5633 40 62 [] 12 Small 130 PA. We might note that while these are
the smaller PD size, they're still pretty sizeable measuring approximately
5.25" temple to temple and lenses measuring approximately 2.375"
x 2.0" at the widest point. The colored rims of the 1 piece
lenses are a nice design touch, adding color to the frame and a
great complement to the gold. Very cool!

You'll love
the look of these vintage Vuarnet PX Skilynx glacier glasses, one
of the finest glacier and ski sunglasses ever made. They have flexible
curved ear stems in the shooter style to provide the most secure
fit possible, and of course the Vuarnet Skilynx gradient mirrored
lenses can't be beat when it comes to eye protection in extreme
climates. A really unique thing about the PX Pouilloux Skilynx glacier
glasses is the design where the 2 piece ear stems can be shortened
or extended by slotting into holes in the front frame - very rare
not to mention a smart design. We love the black frame paired with
the highly reflective, gradient mirror Skilynx lenses, and the frame
measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple to make them
suitable as both men's and women's sunglasses. The Vuarnet Skilynx
gradient mirrored lenses measure 2.125" x 1.875" at the
widest points and have a very subtle wrap design to contour more
closely to your face to keep out wind, rain, and glare. The exterior
of one ear stem is marked PX Vuarnet and the exterior of the other
stem maked PX. The inside of one stem is marked Frame France along
with the Vuarnet crown mark and both lenses have the laser etched
Vuarnet "V on a Ski" mark, part of a Dallas, TX businessman's

Revo 3003 081
S-61 sunglasses are a sleek industrial design that will both turn
heads and provide outstanding optics and eye protection with Revo
H20 polarized lenses complementing the bronze frame. It's a great
look, and we've grown pretty fond of vintage Revo copper frames
here at the Vintage Sunglasses Shop. It's hard to beat the Revo
H20 polarized lenses for outstanding optics and color accuracy,
and these are a nice unisex size measuring approximately 2.0"
x 1.125" at the widest points and the left lens marked H20.
The Revo logo is embossed in the copper frame of each ear stem near
the spring loaded hinge points, and you'll still find the original
marked Revo celluloid nose pads intact. The inside of one ear stem
is marked Revo Made in Italy CE Polarized, and the inside of the
other stem is marked 3003 081 - S/61 54 [] 18 130. These vintage
Revo 3003 sunglasses really exude class and style and they look

Very early Maui
Jim MJ-159 sunglasses c 1980s are a black wrap design with incredible
mirrored lenses that employ a blue blocker rear coating reminiscent
of what you will see in vintage Vuarnet Skilynx sunglasses. The
wrap design gives you additional eye protection from the sides,
and the durable black frame is designed for active outdoor pursuits.
On the beaches of Maui in 1986, the fledgling Maui Jim company developed
their PolarizedPlus optics as in these MJ-159 sunglasses, unprecedented
technology that eliminated glare without compromising the island’s
vibrant colors. The MJ-159 Maui Jim sunglasses launched the firm's
classic collection, and in our opinion they're so much better than
the thin wire designs the company produces today. The highly reflective
mirrored lenses have a dramatic curve to confirm to the wrap design
frame, and the right lens is marked with the Maui Jim logo in script
laser etched into the mirrored finish. The inside of one ear stem
is marked with the U.S. patent number and CE, while the inside of
the other stem is marked Maui MJ-159-02M Made in Japan. It's a nice
unisex frame that measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple
with lenses that measure approximately 2.25" x 1.675"

Always cool
vintage B&L Ray-Ban Wayfarer Max sunglasses in the classic black
with green Bausch & Lomb G-15 lenses are one of the most recognizable
and distinguished vintage sunglasses designs of all time. Wayfarer
Max sunglasses have the shape of traditional Wayfarers, but they
transition from plastic to a thin gold band on the lower portions
of both left and right lenses. That combination of black and gold
in the traditional Wayfarer shape adds extra design flair, and it's
a popular design for both men's and women's sunglasses. The frame
measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses
measure approximately 2.0" x 1.875" at the widest points.
The Ray-Ban logo is in raised metal script on the exterior of both
ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Wayfarer Max while
the inside of the other stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA. Each
lens has BL laser etched into the mineral glass lens hear each hinge
point, and the celluloid nose pads are also all original and marked
BL. Hard to find.

Vintage B&L
Ray-Ban "The General" shooter sunglasses are always in
demand, but only once a year or so do we receive a pair of vintage
Ray-Ban outdoorsman sunglasses that feature B&L Ray-Ban pink
changeable photochromatic lenses. These pink photochromatic lenses
are the rarest of all vintage B&L lens colors, and they darken
considerably in sunlight to provide excellent anti-glare protection
while reverting to a light pink shade indoors. This makes them popular
with the fashion crowd as well as the performance crowd, and it's
pretty easy to see why. The pearlized General bar is the thin design
indicating an earlier production date c 1970s, and the frame measures
approximately 5.25" temple to temple to make them a good fit
for both men and women. The teardrop aviator lenses measure approximately
2.25" x 1.875", and the right lens has the Ray-Ban logo
in script while both lenses are laser etched BL in the glass near
the hinges. These vintage Ray-Ban shooters have the curved wire
outdoorsman ear stems that give you a secure and comfortable fit
in all conditions. The top of the nose bridge is marked B&L
Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the nose bridge is marked B&L
Ray-Ban 58 [] 14, all impressed in the gold plated metal frame.

We get asked
a lot to offer top vintage designer frames that can be used by those
who need prescription glasses or sunglasses, so in response check
out these vintage Carrera 5323 Vario tortoise shell frames. It's
a great look, with deep rich tortoise shell combining with gold
accents and a frame and lens shape that evokes the classic Carrera
aviator look. We particularly like the ear stems on the Carrera
5323 frame, which feature the Carrera logo near the hinges on a
gold background decorated with small dots that give the look of
racing, and a machined silver insert is directly next to the logo
for added design flair. The stems transition to chrome halfway down
before transitioning to the ear pads. There are currently optyl
plastic Carrera clear lenses in the frame for those of you who just
want the look of cool clear eyeglasses from time to time, or you
can use the frame for your own eyeglass or sunglass lens prescription.
We aren't going to list many vintage designer frames as we are at
heart a sunglasses store, but we felt this one was too unique to
pass up and in mint condition. Carrera 5623 sunglasses are popular

Vintage Carrera
Porsche Design 5621 sunglasses in titanium silver are one of our
favorites in the vintage Carrera Porsche Design line c mid 1980s.
The silver frame really complements the interchangeable Carrera
Porsche Design optyl lenses, an advanced material pioneered by Carrera
that enabled the design of these oversized sunglasses with interchangeable
lenses in the 5621 and 5623 lines. This is a strong set of lens
colors, combining Carrera PD brown gradient lenses with the hard
to find anthracite lenses that have a very cool purple tint; each
lens measures approximately 2.5" x 2.25" at the widest
points with left lenses marked Porsche Design, making this style
and size popular with men and with women who seek the authentic
retro oversized sunglasses look. The lenses are changed by lifting
the center prong and either inserting or removing the lenses which
are held in place by small prongs on the frame. The frame itself
is very well made reflecting good Austrian engineering, and it measures
approximately 5.5" temple to temple. The inside of one ear
stem is marked Carrera Porsche Design along with the US patent number
on the ear pad, and the inside of the other stem is marked with
the serial number impressed in the metal along with Made in Austria

a hard to find 10k gold B&L Arista frame that represents fairly
early B&L Ray-Ban production c 1960s / early 1970s. The original
Bausch & Lomb marketing materials notes that these PhotoSun
lenses "were made of photochromatic glass developed by Corning
Glass Works. Outdoors, they adjust automatically to the sun's brightness.
In full sunlight, they allow only 20% of the light to get through.
Out of the sun, they fade to a light tint - 65% transmittance. On
a cloudy day, they will be somewhere in between. This action is
inherent in the glass and will not wear out. PhotoSun lenses will
darken to 75% of their full capacity within the first minute of
exposure. Out of sunlight, they will lighten half way in 10 minutes
and about 75% within 90 minutes." It's the invisible UV rays
that activate this change and are filtered out to protect the eyes.
B&L PhotoSun lenses are the predecessor of the later Changeables
line that has essentially the same properties, but it was PhotoSun
that was the original optical innovation. These properties are what
makes these so popular with folks who don't like to take off and
put on their sunglasses all the time, allowing you to have clear
bright vision indoors almost like a pair of regular glasses but
giving you B&L polarized anti-glare protection in sunlight.
These vintage B&L Ray-Ban shooters are 10k gold to give you
a frame that will last decades as these already have, and the outdoorsman
shooter wire ear stems give you a comfortable and secure fit even
in very active outdoor pursuits. These vintage Changeables have
the desirable General top bar, pearlized and the thinner style that
indicates an earlier production data. The top of the nose bridge
is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA, while the bottom of the nose bridge
is marked B&L 1/30 10k GO USA, all impressed in the metal. The
Arista 10k gold frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to
temple, and the 58mm aviator style photochromatic lenses measure
approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest point. Rare
early 10k photochromatic Changeables shooter sunglasses come direct

Classic B&L
Ray-Ban 5022 tortoise shell Wayfarer sunglasses combine the original
Ray-Ban tortoise shell shading with B&L green G-15 lenses for
a super look that's stood the test of time. It's a style and combination
made famous in movies from the 1970s and 1980s like Dirty Dancing,
and trust us when we tell you that there is absolutely no comparison
between Bausch & Lomb 5022 Wayfarers and the ones made today
by Luxottica. These are fully and properly marked, with the inside
of one ear stem marked Wayfarer and the inside of the other stem
marked B&L Ray-Ban USA. In addition, B&L 5022 is impressed
in the frame above the right lens (left when looking from behind),
and each B&L lens is laser etched BL in the correct location.
We talk about this detail because, sadly, B&L Ray-Ban sunglasses
are widely faked and have spread all throughout the market knowingly
and unknowingly. The frame measures approximately 5.5" temple
to temple, and each lens measures approximately 1.875" x 1.75"
