One of the most elegant Giorgio Armani sunglasses designs, these rare vintage Armani 101 788 sunglasses stand out for their beautiful red tortoise shell frame with corner etching for a lot of additional design flair. Round and brown Giorgio Armani lenses are always popular for men's and women's sunglasses, and these are a perfect size at approximately 1.75" in diameter to give women and moderately oversized look and most men a perfect fit. While you'll find some other styles of vintage Armani sunglasses with rich and elegant shades of tortoise shell frames, the use of reddish tints in the Armani 101 sunglasses really stands out as unique and is sure to attract questions and complements. The frame measures approximately 5.125" temple to temple, and each of the Armani lenses provide 100% UV protection for your eyes and are laser etched GA near the hinges. The inside of one ear stem is marked Giorgio Armani Made Italy CE while the inside of the other stem is marked 101 788 48 [] 22 140. The quality of the construction is first rate as with all older Armani sunglass designs, the Giorgio Armani is subtly embossed on the exterior of both ear stems near the hinges in marked contrast to modern Armanis and other designer sunglasses where the designer logo completely overtakes the design of the sunglasses. Rare variation of already hot vintage Revo 962 050 sunglasses still have the great black ear stems coupled with Revo's oval mirrored lenses - more typically stealth mirrored lenses - but these low production variant Revo 962 050 sunglasses also feature Revo blue mirror H20 polarized lenses. The blue mirrored H20 lenses pick up lots of purple hues that set them apart from their non-H20 counterparts, and the mirrored lens finish that reflects blues and purples is incredible to see. The nose bridge and ear stems are all matte black, the right color because you wouldn't want to detract from the mirrored H20 lenses as the main attraction. Revo 962 sunglasses have a classic shape and unisex size very popular with men and women, with frame measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple and oval lenses measuring approximately 2.0" x 1.5". The Revo logo is embossed in white on each ear stem near the hinges, and the inside of one stem is marked CE 962/050 Frame Japan. The left lens is marked H20 and they retain the original marked Revo celluloid nose pads, part of a major Houston, Texas estate collection of fine vintage eyewear. Try Them On! /2 $425.00

Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5621 71 sunglasses feature a titanium silver frame and interchangeable brown gradient and dark gray-green lenses, one of the best frame and lens color combinations you'll find in vintage Carreras. The center hinge lifts up to allow the lenses to be changed by slotting into small prongs on the frame, and the spare lenses reside in a felt pouch inside the hard sided black Carrera Porsche Design cased which is included. The combination of brown gradient and darker gray lenses give you the luxury of replacing lenses to perfect vision in varying light conditions from cloudy & hazy to bright and sunny. We also like how the Carrera gradient lenses are perfectly designed to move from indoor to outdoor conditions without always taking off your sunglasses. The Austrian frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple and the lenses measure approximately 2.675" x 2.25" at the widest point, nicely suited as moderately oversized sunglasses. Each lens is marked Porsche Design along with the PD logo. One ear stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera and the US patent number while the other ear stem is marked with the serial number impressed in the metal along with CE Made in Austria 5621 71. While we also like Carrera black matte and gold frames, everyone here always wants to "test drive" the Carrera 5621 sunglasses in titanium silver we receive. The combination of brown gradient and gray-green interchangeable lenses in reality gives you 2 different pairs of vintage sunglasses, part of a major estate collection of everything Porsche Carrera. Beautiful and seldom seen vintage Ray-Ban W2980 OYAS are c 1980s and have a design look perhaps more associated with Revo but with vintage Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban green lenses and high quality optics. The tortoise shell ear stems really stand out on these sunglasses, a rich hue that picks up hints a more reddish shade than the more common orange, and they look great with the black nose bridge, hinges, and rectangular green B&L Ray-Ban lenses. These are very popular as unisex sunglasses with frame measuring approximately 5.5" temple to temple and lenses 2.0" x 1.5" at the widest points. In fact, the last pair of Ray-Ban W2980 sunglasses we had in 2009 sold to a couple that was actually planning to share them. The couple that shares sunglasses together stays together? Anyway, they have a streamlined Ray-Ban logo in script embossed on one of the two ear stems near the hinge, and both lenses are etched BL near the hinge points plus the Ray-Ban logo in script on the right lens. The inside of one ear stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban, both original celluloid nose pads are marked BL, and one ear pad is marked W2980 OYAS impressed in the tortoise. Rare. Try Them On! $245.00

Vintage Revo 1103 001 blue mirror sunglasses have a thin band of tortoise shell that surrounds each of the Revo blue mirrored lenses and provide a unique and eye catching look in the vintage Revo Italian frame c late 1980s / early 1990s. The Revo blue mirrored lens shape is reminiscent of vintage Ray-Ban Caravan sunglasses, but the look of the blue mirror lenses and the thin tortoise shell band is uniquely Revo. The black matte metal ear stems have the Revo logo impressed in the metal near the spring loaded hinge points, and we like the light tortoise ear pads that tie the design together. Revo 1103 sunglasses are a great unisex design with frame measuring approximately 5.0" temple to temple and lenses measuring approximately 1.875" x 1.75" at the widest points. The inside of the ear stem is marked 1103/001 Frame Italy. Revo 1103 sunglasses were a low production style, and there aren't many of them out there so they're quite rare, part of a Malibu, CA estate collection of vintage eyewear. Try Them On! /265CW ON HOLD

Vintage Carrera 5621 96 sunglasses are always in high demand with other 5621 and 5623 variants of the black matte Carrera Austrian frame and different sets of interchangeable lenses. In these vintage Carrera 5621 96 sunglasses, you'll find the most popular lens combination of brown gradient lenses and darker gray lenses to get you all set for different light conditions from haze to bright sunshine. The center hinge on the black composite frames raises and lowers to allow the 2 sets of interchangeable lenses to be easily changed, and the spare lenses are stored in the felt pouch inside the hard black Carrera Porsche Design case which is included. It's a great look as striking aviator sunglasses for men or stylish oversized sunglasses for women, and thus the always high demand for vintage Porsche Carreras c 1980s. Carrera Porsche Design 5621 sunglasses were probably the first in the world to use a new advanced type of plastic called optyl, optically superior to any other plastic and ushering in the era of ever larger sunglasses which were not practical with glass lenses. The black matte frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.75" x 2.25" at the widest points. You can't go wrong with vintage Carrera 5621 sunglasses, and both lenses are marked Porsche Design along with the logo. The inside of one ear stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera and the U.S. patent number while the other stem is marked with the serial number, Made in Austria, and 5621 96 135. Note: If we are sold out of this item, you may wish to check for de facto identical Carrera Porsche Design 5621 90 or 5623 90 sunglasses, item VS097 and item VS241. Try Them On! $285.00

Revo 3041 081 sunglasses are notable for their shimmering copper Italian frame coupled with top of the line Revo P H20 polarized lenses in the rounded rectangular shape that looks great on a variety of face sizes and shapes. Everyone looks great in copper sunglasses, and with vintage Revo polarized lenses you'll have 100% UVA and UVB protection and superb glare reduction as well. The Revo logo is embossed on each copper ear stem in a "double bullet" impression on each stem, a subtle yet effective use of the logo. The lenses measure approximately 1.875" x 1.125" at the widest points in a frame that measures 5.0" temple to temple, perfect as men's or women's sunglasses. It's a sleek and streamlined look with moderately reflective amber lenses, and the right lens is marked Revo P while the left lens is marked H20 to reflect Revo's advanced polarization. The inside of one ear stem is marked Revo Made in Italy CE Polarized while the other stem is marked 3041 081/K2 48 [] 19 135, and they also retain the original marked Revo celluloid nose pads. Direct from a midwestern optician's estate, vintage Ray-Ban Onyx WO793 tortoise shell driving sunglasses are not only rare but they capture one of the most striking retro looks imaginable with their uniquely angular and oversized frame. This pair was specially produced by Bausch & Lomb for fine optical retailers to display and market to their customers, marked on the interior ear stem Not For Sale but now you have your chance to buy them regardless many years later. There are plenty of special things about vintage B&L Ray-Ban Onyx driving sunglasses, but our favorites are the extra wide ear stems near the hinges and the combination rounded and angular shape of the front frame. The frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple making them perfect as men's sunglasses or oversized women's sunglasses, and each Bausch & Lomb lens measures approximately 2.25" x 1.5" at the widest points. The tortoise shell is rich and gleaming, and the Ray-Ban logo is embossed on the outside of the left stem near the hinge. The inside of one ear stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA Frame France while the inside of the other stem is marked Not For Sale Onyx WO 793. Early and rare example of vintage Ray-Ban Onyx sunglasses - not a modern Luxottica Ray-Ban reproduction. Try Them On! $195.00

Rare and perhaps the single best pair of sunglasses ever produced by Vuarnet, these Vuarnet 24k gold plated sunglasses were produced for the 1984 Olympics and feature Vuarnet Pouilloux Skilynx lenses. It's a unique interpretation, sort of a modern update on an aviator design but with flat silver lower nose bridge and traditional gold nose bridge above, and the front of the silver bridge is impressed with the Vuarnet Pouilloux star above the 1984 Olympic rings. We really like the use of the silver highlight for the lower nose bridge, an eye catching contrast with the remainder of the gold frame and Skilynx lenses. Behind the lower nose bridge which is gold and not silver in the back, you will find Vuarnet Plaque Of 24 CT impressed in the metal. Each Skilynx gradient lens was designed for alpine use and measures approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points, and both have the laser etched underlined Vuarnet V at the top center of the glass lenses. These make great men's and women's sunglasses, with a moderately sized 24k gold plated frame that measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple. Prized by Olympic collectors and sunglasses afficianados alike, these Vuarnet 1984 Olympics commemorative 24k gold plated Skilynx sunglasses were part of a major New York City estate with its fine vintage eyewear sold exclusively through the Vintage Sunglasses Shop. Just in and seldom lasting more than a week on the site, early and vintage Ray-Ban Arctic CATS glacier sunglasses feature B&L reflective lenses, leather side flaps, and a great Ray-Ban CATS French nylon frame that shades from dark to light for a unique 2 tone effect not usually seen in Ray-Ban sunglasses. These Ray-Ban Glacier CATS have flexible outdoorsman / shooter ear stems for a secure fit in active sports, and they also retain the original nylon strap attached to the leather blinkers. Ray-Ban Arctic CATS were really intended for skiing and alpine mountain climbing, but trust us that they look super cool and offer amazing glare protection regardless of your outdoor pursuit of choice. The leather side flaps protect the sides of your eyes from glare, rain, wind, and snow, and the nylon frame is designed not to stick to your skin even in the coldest of conditions. The exterior of one ear stem is marked Ray-Ban near the hinge while the other stem is marked CATS. The lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points, and both lenses are laser etched with BL (Bausch & Lomb) near the hinge points. The inside of one ear stem is marked Bausch & Lomb Frame France while the inside of the other stem is marked Nylon France. The frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, worn by men and women. Despite being 20+ years old, there are few modern equals to the optical quality and performance of Ray-Ban Arctic CATS glacier glasses which explains their enduring popularity. Try Them On! $285.00

The unisex frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple and features silver hinges and double nose bridge in classic aviator style coupled with gloss black ear stems that have the Revo logo embossed near each each low profile hinge. Revo P H20 polarized lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.375" at the widest points and feature a deep purple tint that will darken to purple mirror in sunlight and provide the complete UVA and UVB eye protection for which Revo lenses are famous - optical technology pioneered in the NASA space program. Very early Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses c 1940s feature rare 52mm lenses, a smaller size than the typical mininum 58mm lenses and only made very early in Baush & Lomb production. They predate the use of the Ray-Ban logo in script as well as a laser etched BL on the lenses which is one of the means we use to date vintage Ray-Bans. These classic B&L Ray-Ban aviators feature a 12k gold filled B&L frame that measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple, perfect along with the 52mm lenses for most women and men with a smaller head and face size. In inches, the Ray-Ban teardrop lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points. These vintage Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses have regular ear stems, original bakelite nose pads, and the gold plated frame is marked on the top of the nose bridge Ray-Ban and on the bottom B&L 1/10 12k GF all impressed in the metal. The lenses, size, bakelite nose pads, and top nose bridge marking techniques are all indicative of very early B&L Ray-Ban production. Includes the earliest B&L Ray-Ban "Anti-Glare Sunglasses" case we've ever seen here, in scuffed but perfectly intact condition. Rare. Try Them On! $245.00

We get a lot of requests for vintage Revo 860 mirrored sunglasses but none more so than classic Revo 860 001 sunglasses with blue mirror lens. Both men and women love the shape of the 840 line durable black French frame, and it's hard to argue with the effect Revo blue mirrored lenses have on both wearer and viewer. The Revo logo is subtly embossed in gold on each ear stem hear the hinges, and the inside of one stem is marked 860/001 Frame France. Celluloid nose pads are flush mounted in the composite frame to provide a clean look while keeping the frame from sticking to your nose in extreme conditions. The frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and each Revo blue mirrored lens measures approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points. Early Bausch & Lomb shooter sunglasses preceed the adoption of the Ray-Ban brand and have all the bells and whistles when collectors and sunglass afficianados look for early B&L aviators from early to mid 20th century. They have bakelite nose pads, an early "General" bar, very early B&L green anti-glare lenses, and outdoorsman cable wire ear stems for a secure fit. This is an early B&L silver aviator frame which really stands out from the later year standardization on gold plating, and it is marked Bausch & Lomb impressed in the metal below the nose bridge with nary a mention of the Ray-Ban brand adopted a few years later. These early B&L aviator shooters measure approximately 5.375" temple to temple with B&L Tru Green lenses that measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points of the rounded teardrop. It's hard to mistake these c 1930s / 1940s Bausch & Lomb aviators for the gold plated, more teardrop shaped aviators to come, and those in the know will recognize the style of the very earliest specialized aviator pilot sunglasses ever produced. You will never see bakelite nose pads on subsquent aviators, and the early silver frame and lens shape is unmistakeable. Rare - part of an Austin, Texas collector estate. Try Them On! /265 SOLD

Vintage Revo 1013 001 sunglasses feature one of the most unique lense ever created by Revo back in the days when their optical innovations were fresh from use in the U.S. space program. You will note in the photos how these Revo H20 polarized lenses can shade completely between a glistening red mirror and a vibrant stealth blue depending on the light angle and conditions. You will probably recognize this reflective coating and rainbow of colors from the space helmets of later period Apollo astronauts who walked on the moon filmed by early color cameras. You want a high performance sports frame with these lenses, so in the 1013's Revo combined them with a sleek black matte composite French frame 5.5" temple to temple so as not to detract any attention from the flame colored mirrored lenses. It's a subtle wrap design, perfect for active sports and providing more complete eye and glare protection on the sides. The lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.675" at the widest points with the left lens marked H20. The Revo logo is raised on the outside of each ear stem near the spring loaded hinges, and the inside of the ear stem is marked 1013/001 CE Frame France. Try Them On! /285 SOLD

Very early and very vintage Oakley sunglasses have rare purple lenses and a light, exotic frame shape and color that looks far different than modern Oakley sunglasses. Regardless, it's all Oakley quality with a light durable frame, superb purple lenses, and some really sublte yet effective design points. You'll note double impressed Oakley O's on each ear stem which are on each side of a 0.875" long area of brushed finish which provides a very subtle contrast with the remainder of the ear stem. The unique early Oakley hinges also have an impressed Oakley O on the inside, raised double O's on one composite material ear pad, and the rear of the nose bridge is marked 48 [] 22 with the Oakley O in place of the typical []. The front of the frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and note the amazing extended and tapered point that extends from each oval purple tint lens over to the hinge where the connection is so thin and invisible to be an outstanding example of early Oakley innovation and industrial design. Light and designed for durability and high performance, we prefer these early vintage Oakleys to more modern and extreme designs, and our test drive of the Oakley purple lenses stood up to our high expectations for Oakley optical quality. Vintage Revo 3047 093 copper wrap sunglasses are one of the sleekest looks Revo has ever produced, and the gleaming copper frame really stands out from the norms. This is a style that will get attention, and we made particular note of the sleek design of the nose bridge, brown polarized H20 lenses coupled with the copper frame, and the rubber ear pads to give them that really high performance look. The Revo logo is subtly embossed on each ear stem near the spring loaded hinges, and the inside of one ear stem is marked Revo Made in Italy CE Polarized while the other stem is marked 3047 093/K2 59 [] 16 125. Very early vintage Bausch & Lomb cat's eye sunglasses c 1950s pre-date the use of the Ray-Ban trademark and have the most complete set of design bells and whistles collectors and vintage fashion enthusiasts look for in the finest vintage sunglasses. First, these B&L frames feature elaborate metal scrollwork that forms the two ear stems, all 12k gold filled and so marked on the ear stem impressed in the metal. Second, check out the rhinestone and marcasite clusters at each temple, and of course you have the high quality B&L anti-glare green lenses to protect your eyes while you're looking fabulous. We are not mid-century plastics experts, but we've seen a lot of bakelite over the years and it appears to us that the non metal portions of this vintage Bausch & Lomb frame are indeed bakelite. Regardless of material, it looks great and has striations of color to complement the silver scollwork. The cat's eye sunglasses frame measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple, and each lens measures approximately 1.875" x 1.375" at the widest points. The inside of both wire ear stems is marked B&L 1/10 12k GF to document the 12k gold filled metalwork. The intricacy of the scroll design ear stems, the elaborate rhinestone and marcasite flourishes at each temple, and innovative early Bausch & Lomb anti-glare glass lens technology combine to make these one very special pair of sunglasses. Rare vintage Oakley Frogskins sunglasses have top of the line red iridium lenses in a moderately translucent gray Frogskins American frame reminiscent in style to that of classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers. We love the combination of translucent gray with the fire red iridium lenses, a look that is sure to get noticed wherever you go but with an optical quality lens that is outstanding at reducing glare and protecting your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Oakley Frogskins sunglasses were the classic sunglasses that put Oakley on the map in the 1980's, and these are original and date to that period - not modern reproductions. Oakley Frogskins make great men's or women's sunglasses, with frame measuring approximately 5.5" temple to temple and red iridium Oakley lenses measuring approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points.
