Unique photochromic properties allow the Ray-Ban RB-50 lens to adapt to changing light conditions - the brighter the sun, the darker the lens and the greater the glare protection, up to 92% absorption. A front mirror coating is created from a modified titanium monoxide coating that reflects direct sunlight and reduces glare. The RB-50 Ultra lens also enhances color by filtering enough blue light to cut through the haze and sharpen details while retaining true color fidelity. And of course authentic - beware of fakes which are all over the marketplace! - Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban lenses are made of optical quality glass, ground and polished to standards that exceed those of prescription eyewear. The surfaces of the RB 50 Ultra lens are chemically treated to produce a durable lens that resists shattering and scratching.
