Ray-Ban W1526 Gatsby Dlx Style 2 Sunglasses
Vintage Ray-Ban W1526 Gatsby Dlx Style 2 sunglasses are one of the most distinctive styles ever produced by Bausch & Lomb during their 60 years of owning and developing the Ray-Ban brand. What most stands out are the exposed gold hinges, rounded to add further contrast with the remainder of the frame, but the gleaming tortoise shell mosaic frame is almost as prominent and is a great complement to the hinge design. The unisex frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 1.875" x 1.675" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo impressed in the gold plated hinges on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban while the inside of the other stem is marked Gatsby Dlx Style 2 W1526 and one ear pad is impressed W1526 WTAS.
