Vuarnet 003 Skilynx Blue Sunglasses
1 Vintage Vuarnet Skilynx 003 sunglasses feature a durable blue French nylon frame in the classic aviator style, but the stars of the show are the Vuarnet Skilynx double gradient mirror lenses. The royal blue aviator style frame looks elegant with the mirrored Skilynx lenses, and it really shimmers out in the sunlight with the highly reflective Skilynx lenses. The unisex frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the Vuarnet Skilynx mirrored lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet "V on a Ski" at the top center. You'll find the Vuarnet Pouilloux PX symbol on the exterior of one ear stem and PX Vuarnet embossed on the other, and the inside of one stem is impressed France Depose along with the crown trademark while the inside of the other stem is impressed Nylon along with the crown trademark and some production is marked either 003 or 4003 (the 4 designating the PX-4000 Skilynx lens).

2 Vintage Vuarnet 003 Skilynx Olympics Series sunglasses are identical in size, shape, and appearance with the sole exception that these were produced by Vuarnet to coincide with their sponsorship of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. As such, the exterior of one ear stem is marked with the repeating star symbol of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics as well as the Vuarnet PX mark while the exterior of the other stem is embossed PX Vuarnet. This is one of the few ways to definitively date some iconic Vuarnet styles like the 003.
