Ray-Ban Ambermatic Bullet Hole Shooter Sunglasses

1 Vintage Ray-Ban Ambermatic bullet hole shooters feature Outdoorsman ear stems that curve behind the ear for the most secure fit possible and early Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic lenses c 1960s - 1970s. Ray-Ban bullet hole shooters were originally popular with the hunting and shooting crowd because of how the "bullet hole" along with the "General" brow bar improved the balance of the sunglasses resting on the face, but today celebrities and athletes in particular seek them out. B&L Ray-Ban Ambermatic lenses have photochromatic properties that change density depending on the degree of both brightness and temperature. Taking its name from the color of the lens, Ray-Ban Ambermatic sunglasses change from amber yellow to gray and become darker and denser in bright light conditions and in colder temperatures. The top of the nose bridge of the Arista gold plated frame is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, and the unisex Ray-Ban bullet hole shooter frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple with the 62 mm Ambermatic lenses measuring approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points. Rare.
