Ray-Ban Ambermatic Bullet Hole Outdoorsman Shooter Sunglasses

1 Vintage Ray-Ban Ambermatic bullet hole Outdoorsman sunglasses feature shooter ear stems that curve behind the ear for the most secure fit possible and early Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic lenses c 1960s - 1970s. The Ray-Ban bullet hole shooter was originally popular with the hunting and shooting crowd because of how the "bullet hole" along with the "General" brow bar improved the balance of the glasses resting on the face, but today they are equally desirable because they look cool and distinctive. The B&L Ray-Ban Ambermatic lens has photochromatic properties that change density depending on the degree of both brightness and temperature. Taking its name from the color of the lens, Ray-Ban Ambermatic sunglasses change from amber yellow to gray and become darker and denser in bright light conditions and in colder temperatures. These early B&L Ray-Ban bullet hole shooter sunglasses also feature the pearlized General bar for added design flair and balance on top of the nose bridge. The top of the nose bridge of the Arista gold plated frame is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, and the unisex bullet hole shooter frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple with the Ray-Ban 62mm Ambermatic lenses measuring approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points. Rare.
