Vintage Ray-Ban W2347 Driving Series sunglasses feature a sleek, industrial design reminiscent of early Oakley sunglasses but preceeding the first Oakleys by around 10 years. The modern metal front of the frame is a muted, light shade of copper, and the matching celluloid ear stems were a lighter design than traditional metal stems and something Ray-Ban was experimenting with in their high performance, sports oriented sunglass designs. B&L Ray-Ban W2347 sunglasses are also notable for the very unusual lens shape, measuring approximately 2.0" x 1.25" at the widest point in a unisex frame measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple. The lenses are not fully mirrored but have a moderately reflective mirror finish unique to the Driving Series line. The Ray-Ban logo is impressed in the left ear stem, and Ray-Ban is laser etched on the right lens and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. These Ray-Ban Driving series sunglasses are marked on one ear pad W2347 YRAS, and the celluloid nose pads are also original and marked BL, part of an Augusta, GA estate collection of great vintage Ray-Bans.
