One of the rarest and most desirable of any vintage B&L Ray-Ban sunglasses, these vintage B&L Ray-Ban A-30 purple Chromax aviator sunglasses from the Ray-Ban Driving Series also feature the pearlized General bar at the top to add more design flair, and the double nose bridge contributes to balance and fit contoured with your face. The Ray-Ban Driving Series lens incorporates Chromax Color Contrast Technology which increases the relative intensity and contrast of critical driving colours (red, green and amber). Chromax lenses selectively filter light from the driving environment, making brake lights, traffic signals and signs appear bright and easier to see. Most Chromax lenses were produced in B-20 brown / amber; and very few Ray-Ban Ace 30 (A-30) lenses were made in the rare purple color. They have regular ear stems to make them easy to take on and off while driving, and the gold plated Arista frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple and provides a finish that will last many more decades. The Bausch & Lomb 58mm A-30 purple Chromax aviator lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points, and the left lens is laser etched Ray-Ban along with the Chromax lightening bolt symbol and both purple Chromax lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges.
