1 Vintage Ray-Ban Flying Colors sunglasses feature a light purple Flying Colors frame combined with Bausch & Lomb G-15 anti-glare lenses, a low production variation that we think you'll agree is one of the best of all the iconic Flying Colors line. You'll never see many light purple Flying Colors, even harder to find than their dark purple sibing. Ray-Ban Flying Colors were made in the 1970s and 1980s and quickly became an icon of modern sunglasses design, using a patented technique to permanently bond colored enamels to classic gold plated Ray-Ban 58mm and 62mm aviator frames. The result was a color explosion the likes of which had never been seen before, and Ray-Ban Flying Colors were subsequently featured in many B&L Ray-Ban print advertisements and seen on the faces of movie and television stars of the period. The unisex Ray-Ban Flying Colors frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The bottom of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14, part of an amazing collection of vintage B&L Ray-Ban sunglasses owned by a well known TV and movie industry figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
