1 Vintage Revo 820 001 Aero sunglasses feature a high performance matte black composite frame in the classic Aero style, but the real stars of the show are the Revo purple mirror lenses that provide superior anti-glare properties not to mention a super cool look in the Revo 820 001. Revo 820 Aero sunglasses were introduced in the first Revo design collection c 1986, one of 12 styles the company introduced at inception which marketed the fact that Revo lens technology was pioneered in the NASA space program. The Aero might be considered an oversized aviator, but the distinctive large and enclosed nose bridge and use of high tech composite materials will always make them stand out in a crowd. The unisex Revo 820 Aero frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the purple mirror lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.875" at the widest points. You'll find the Revo logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one ear stem is marked 820 001 on most production and one ear pad is marked Frame France.

3 As part of Revo's first collection released to the public c 1985 the Revo 820 001 Aero was initially issued with open lettering of the Revo logo embossed on the ear stem versus the closed lettering which was to follow and be used ongoing. It's a very rare early first release of the Aero, a subtle yet interesting design difference and otherwise exactly the same size, shape, and measurements. Early and rare.
