Vintage Ray-Ban Wayfarer Woodies Light Tiki sunglasses feature Bausch & Lomb Changeables photochromatic lenses in the iconic Wayfarer Woody faux wood frame. Light Tiki was the lightest of the 3 original Woodies frame colors and today is like all original B&L Ray-Ban Woodies sunglasses very difficult to find. The B&L Changeables lenses will darken and lighten in response to light conditions, an adaptive lens whose properties are infused into the glass and not a coating that will ever wear out or wear off. Always very expensive, the original manufacturing process made production of the original Wayfarer Woodies prohibitively expensive for Bausch & Lomb so consequently they were produced in only very small quantities. The unisex Wayfarer Woodies Light Tiki frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the Changeables photochromatic lenses measure approximately 1.875" x 1.5" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The inside of one stem is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is impressed Wayfarer and B&L 5022 is impressed above the rear of the right lens. Very rare.
