Vintage Ray-Ban L1634 Chromax 58mm aviator sunglasses are a step up in optical quality from your traditional gold plated Ray-Ban G-15 aviator sunglasses. The Chromax Color Contrast Technology lenses enhance the
relative intensity and contrast of critical driving colors (reds,
greens, and ambers). As a result, brake lights, traffic signals
and signs appear brighter and easier to see. Ray-Ban B-20 Chromax lenses also
filter out blue light haze to give you excellent overall contrast
and sharpened details. These original and vintage Bausch & Lomb
Chromax lenses are scientifically formulated to control glare, adding
to driving comfort and reducing eye fatigue. Treated with an advanced
anti-reflection coating, they also cut distracting reflections from
the rear surface of the lenses. The unisex Ray-Ban L1634 frame measuring approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the 58mm B-20 Chromax lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the trademark Chromax lightning bolt and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 and one some production one ear pad is impressed L1634 XNAS, part of a fine collection of vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses in Taos, New Mexico.
