1 Vintage Ray-Ban Diamond Hard 62mm shooters are an amazing and rare example of the very finest of Bausch & Lomb production of Ray-Ban sunglasses leading up to the brand's sale to Luxottica in 1998. The B&L Ray-Ban B&L Diamond Hard lenses feature a scratch-protection system which creates a lens surface of amorphous diamond that is 10 times more resistant to scratching than ordinary glass. This surface also sheds water, reducing water spotting and making the lens easier to clean. The diamond surface is permanently bonded to the lens via an ion beam process, originally developed by NASA, and we think its gold mirror surface looks great in this classic Ray-Ban shooter style. You'll also find other fine details such as the etched Ray-Ban logo in the gold plating of the 2 ear stems - quality all around. These Ray-Ban 62mm Diamond Hard shooter sunglasses also feature a black General brow bar and black outdoorsman shooter ear stems for a secure fit in all conditions. The frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the 62mm aviator gold mirror Diamond Hard lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points with the right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and the diamond symbol and both lenses laser etched BL. The top of the nose bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban 62 [] 14 all impressed in the gold plating. Rare.

2 Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Diamond Hard shooters are identical in appearance to those pictured below but these are the slightly smaller 58mm lens size. The 58mm aviator gold mirror Diamond Hard lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points with the right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and the diamond symbol and both lenses laser etched BL. The top of the nose bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 all impressed in the gold plating. Rare.
