Rare
Giorgio Armani vintage model 659 962 wrap
sunglasses pre-date the proliferation of
wrap designs by Oakley and others, and these
incorporate one of the best design flourishes
in vintage sunglasses with these uniquely
shaped and curved ear bars. From the front,
they form a sleek and elegant look with
the green Armani UV protected glass lens,
marked GA impressed in the glass at the
hinge points, wrapping subtly around the
face and eyes. However, it's really on the
sides where these vintage Aramani sunglasses
shine so to speak. Each ear stem is a twisting
bar of metal, Giorgio Armani logo etched
into the metal on each side, that winds
back to the ear pads that add a last bit
of design flair by being green in color
and reminiscent of the green patina on bronze
to complement the green Armani UV lens.
The metal Armani frame is all original right
down to the two Giorgio Armani celluloid
nose pads that are both marked GA. The elongated,
streamlined lens measure approximately 2.375"
x 1.25" at the widest points, and the
frame measures approximately 5.25"
temple to temple. The glasses come in the
original, matching and marked Giorgio Armani
soft case with snap closure, curved to fit
the form of these vintage sunglasses. The
interior of one ear stem is marked Giorgio
Armani Made in Italy CE while the other
ear
stem is marked with model and size numbers 659 962 125. Try
