Extremely
rare Revo 1118 001 Serpent sunglasses are probably one of the most
unique pair of vintage sunglasses you'll ever have seen, and it's
certain you'll never see many - if any - more of these Revo 1118's.
The design combines the Revo Python gunmetal pewter frame in a variation
called the Serpent with its highly reflective blue mirrored lens.
However, what's really unique about Revo 1118 sunglasses are the
extended points of the serpent's head and tail on each side of the
temples, giving a completely different and (might we say) super
cool look from any other style of vintage Revos. Tortoise ear pads
complete the look, a nice complement to the python gunmetal frame
and blue mirrored lens. The Revo logo is integrated into the Serpent
pattern of both ear stems near the spring loaded hinge points impressed
in the metal, and both celluloid nose pads are also original and
marked Revo. The marks on the interior of the ear stem are worn
and part of the style number is missing, but the marks read CE 1118/001
Frame Japan. The frame is a perfect unisex size measuring approximately
5.0" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately
1.75" x 1.5" at the widest points. The python metal bar
on top of the lenses is one continuous piece and gives these Revo

high performance black Italian frame with Revo blue mirror Revo

outdoorsmen, and the highly reflective Revo blue mirrored lens protects

French frame model line by Revo in the late 1980s; most of Revo's
composite plastic frames were made in France versus Italy and Japan
where the remainder of their production was based (if you ever see
alleged Revos made in any other country, they are fakes- and there
are plenty of Revo reproductions infecting the market). Revo 1117
sunglasses have a frame that is made similar to the way fine cut
cameo glass is made, with an outer gloss black layer coupled with
a lighter, almost clear inner layer around the 2 blue mirrored lenses.
Speaking of the lenses, you'll really like how these blue mirror
lens pick up hues of purple and red through the reflected sunlight
while giving your eyes the 100% UVA and UVB protection you should
expect from an optical lens technology that originated in the NASA
space program. These Revo 1117 sunglasses have a classic shape that
all generations can appreciate, and it's a nice size for both men

beautiful etched copper frame, tortoise shell ear pads, and brown
round Revo lenses for a stylish and elegant look. We really like
the mix of shades of brown in sunglasses with some tortoise added

of hair color. The etched copper frame is rather difficult to find
among vintage Revos, and we love the etching on the Revo 1401 sunglasses
and the way the Revo logo is integrated into the etching on each
ear stem near the spring loaded hinges. The frame measures approximately

1.875" in diameter. These vintage Revo 1401 036 sunglasses

1411 001 sunglasses were the slimmest design ever produced by the
company, with small round brown Revo lenses 1.675" in diameter
rimmed in a thin band of tortoise shell and unusual thin wire ear
stems that pre-dated by 20-30 years similar modern designs by newer
companies like Maui Jim. The frame is an antique gold to perfectly
complement the thin tortoise shell band and the brown lenses, and
the Revo logo is cleverly impressed in the metal on each ear stem
at the hinge points. Revo 1410 sunglasses are thin and light, extraordinarily
comfortable to wear and the choice of several celebrities of both
sexes over the years including Cher and Huey Lewis of the band Huey
Lewis and the News. The frame measures approximately 4.75"
